ecstasy
John Carter was okay to watch on tv but I wouldn't have spent any money watching it in the theaters.

Jake Gittes
More importantly, that drop isn't far off from Skyfall (53 percent), which opened on the same weekend last year. If Thor can generally keep pace with the Bond movie, a total north of $250 million is within reach. Someone tell Ray about that little movie coming out next weekend. (and the fact that Skyfall had that drop against a similar little movie)

Vino
Ant Man will have the rare advantage to be released while TA2 is still in theaters though. Disney could very well play the double features and re-expansion of TA2 with Ant Man's own release. This can give an unusal bump to it if the link to TA2 aftermath is well established and advertised while TA2 is still in theaters. Disney can also attach a preview of SWVII to GOTG. Not to mention GOTG has virtually no competition for the entire month of August (unless you consider TMNT competition).
grim22
Freakish holds this week. The lack of new releases has benefited all movies. Thor 2, Carrie and The Counselor are the only movies falling above even 32% (all 3 are 55% - 57%) Edited November 17, 2013 by grim22
