My favorite project back in MBA was when I used regression analysis to predict the opening weekend take of "Quantum of Solace". I had got the result of 68M OW using the analysis. This was done long before the movie had even started production and just months after Casino Royale was released.

 

Heh, I did a project trying to create a model to explain factors of box office success, namely the connect (or disconnect) between reviews and box office. Had about 80% explanatory power, never found out what I got on the grade though because it was the last thing I did for college and gave no F's.

 

I desperately wanted to assign some crazy weight to Inception without anyone knowing

Did a topic on Pedobear and internet cat memes, turned out okay. Luckily she was more concerned about quality of writing than content. Probably the most fun paper I ever had to do.

It was great, the topic I was going for was really to explore the various levels of memes and to explore the genius of internet humor, ranging from harmless to bad. Got an A on the paper, but it was a joke of a class.
