Mattrek
Is that good for Arthur Christmas?I'd say it's very promising, but it's only 1 territory.
Fake
So its still tracking for 400 mill OS?Definitely.I'd say the range currently is 450-500M OS. It will get another 40M+ gain from Japan only.
Fake
This modest budget should insure a sequel. Even though it could end up under 500 mill WW if it flops DOM..No way its going that low.550M at the very least.
CJohn
If the budget really is 175M and the team Peter Jackson / Steven Spielberg receives 1/3 of the WW results, then this needs a lot more than 550M WW to have the sequel greenlighted... Tesseract
Definitely.I'd say the range currently is 450-500M OS. It will get another 40M+ gain from Japan only.Tintin made $33.8M last week and $69.1M the week before. This means a harsh 51% drop even though it opened in some new markets this weekend. This also means that from current markets it will struggle to reach $200M unless it starts to hold better from now on. I don't see how it could make $250-$300M from the remaining markets to make your prediction work. I'd love to be wrong though, and to be honest I have no clue how this will do in Japan, China, Korea, Australia and South America.
Fake
Bollywood film 'Rockstar' opened with $10.6m in India. Total global opening was $12.8m.
Fake
Tintin's OW in India (actuals) : INR 73.5M ($1.5m)So a bit better than estimates. It conveniently broke the previous animated opening record (KFP2, INR 55.18M).
Tesseract
Tintin made €732.873 last week in The Netherlands. That's 57% more than the week before. It almost beat Immortals for the weekend's number 1 spot.

Dhamal2009
Yeah, its a bit surprising.I think this has a decent shot at $200m OS.Yes, but likely will end up close to 190 million. Will Relativity make any money from overseas territories? They sold off the rights to Lionsgate, Universal and a few local distributors in pretty much all countries overseas.
