CJohn
It decreased from Fast Five?! Here it actually increased a bit (F5 sold 131000 tickets, while FF6 sold 143000 tickets), which was a huge accomplish because at the beginning of the year 20% of our cinemas closed. It also doubled the 2nd biggest OW of the year so far (Iron Man 3, 66000 tickets sold over the first 4 days). Hangover should bomb next weekend, while I am expecting Epic to do good numbers thanks to the Children's day on Saturday. What opens next weekend in Spain? With a 7.2 € average ticket price, FF6 should have sold 550,000 admissions, more or less, nearly 150k less than FF5. If I am not wrong, Hangover 3 is the biggest release next weekend here too. There are some local movies, but nothing relevant for top spot in box office.
CJohn
I remember Hangover 2 was not a big hit in Spain, so I am not expecting big things from it and FF6 shoulld retain the top spot. Hangover 2 was quite big over here, but with the massive FF6 OW, bad WOM and weak marketing I can't see it doing any good this time.

CJohn
So it was big hit, my mistake. I hope it does well again. The Spanish market needs that. Edited May 28, 2013 by CJohn
