#ED
He was not on my list. I am hoping he not in the top 20.
#ED
Quite a few people purposely left him off their lists so I don't think so. Ok. Fuck this thread.
riczhang
Only seen one Haneke film (The White Ribbon) which while near-excellent was not enough for me to put him on my list since it's a small sample size.Have you not seen Funny Games or Amour? Jake Gittes
I had no problem putting Nolan into the 21-50 section of my list, because for me that's where he deserves to be. Purposefully leaving him off is silly and only serves to distort the big picture of what we're doing here.
Dementeleus
Nolan doesn't deserve to be in the Top 10, let alone Top 5.

Kvikk Lunsj
I tried to modern directors low on my list since they are still making films. Only if they have made a lot of films and over a period of time. so legacy is already in place like Spielberg who is high on my list. Nolan only been making movies for 14 years ( not counting Following)

Dementeleus
AMOUR is great. I have Nolan ranked pretty high, honestly. Again, it's MY list, not what I think others think are the best, and I've really enjoyed all of his stuff.
Squaremaster316
The only living directors that have a directorial resume with an overall quality as brilliant as Nolan's are PTA, Fincher(i don't include A3 due to the massive problems behind the scenes), Tarantino, Miyazaki, Affleck, and Wright. The first 3 are probably in the same class as him due to having at least 5 films to their credit. So yes, he does deserve to be in the top 10, at least. Walt Disney
I didn't play games with my ranking order. I put all the directors where I felt that they should be. Nolan is number 12 on my list. I have Cameron at number 7 on my list.

That might be a bigger insult than leaving him off the top 100 list altogether.

Gone Baby GOne, The Town, Argo. He may have a short resume, but you can't argue with the quality. Now, if his acting resume were factored into the equation...
