Is a good drop for a Christmas weekend (though the OW was also deflated by the World Cup) but it shows that it isn't defying gravity. History suggests that it will fall even further next week with New Year and after that it could recover a bit, but we'll have to see how Puss in Boots affect its legs, it had decent openings in other latinamerican countries and animation is stronger in Argentina - Chile

I'm not that familiar with Argentina BO. RO made 6,2x its 2nd WE which would mean around ~1,6M, though it decreased while others increased - FB1 added 10x its 6th WE, so is something like that (and therefore 2M+) possible too?

I think you aren't taking into account how quickly ATP falls. It already fell to 5.4 USD last weekend with restrictions on discounts lifted. (-65% drop in gross against -52% in admissions)

 

If it remains steady it would do 17,7 M USD with 3M admission, though it usually keeps falling a bit every week.

Good hold for New Year. Let's see how Puss in Boots affects it. Goldilocks and the three bears have a porteño accent in the Latin American dub, I think that will play very well.

Avatar 2 finally dethroned.

 

That's a really good opening for Puss in Boots 2- If it followed Coco (68k OD - 409 OW) it would have a higher OW tan Avatar 2 , but animated comps are all over the place. Ralph 2 was significantly more frontloaded over its opening weekend. 

 

Avatar 2 should increase this weekend considering that for the first time on its run sunday won't be deflated.

Avatar 2: 217k (-22%), 2.090 M total. 

 

Nice summer holds, Avatar crossed 2M mark on Sunday and was finally beaten in admissions by PiB2

 

Now with normal weekends A2 has gotten noticeably weaker on weekdays

Avatar 2 passed 2,2M admissions and has a smooth sailing towards 3M. But Puss in Boots hold is very impressive, animation usually falls ~40% on its second week, 2M admission (9-10M USD) is doable now
