Shrek and the King find it hard to get along, and there's tension in the marriage. It's not just the family who are unhappy. Metacritic - 75

Box Office - 441m DOM / 919m WW

Why Critics Think It's Overrated

"Shrek has become a shill, peddling everything from breakfast cereal to M&M's. But is the ready-made blockbuster to the original really all that or just more of the same?" - Kevin A. Ranson, Moviecrypt.com

"A pointless sequel with barely any humor, a drab plot, and a concept that is so derivative, it really angered me." - Felix Vasquez Jr, Cinema Craze

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated -

"Shrek 2 was pretty perfectly timed to grab some huge audience numbers.

(Quality-wise, the film's a pile of crap, but it got lucky by being in the right place at the right time.)" - DamienRoc

"I don't really get this. I dunno why, loved the first but most of the jokes just don't land for me on this one." - CoolioD

Fun Fact - "In the Fairy Godmother's factory, some workers are putting potion bottles on a conveyor belt. One of the bottles is marked "Viagra"."

Iron Man doesn't deserve to be.... at #25.  It should have been higher, overrated as heck.

There was lots of competition from the Marvel films, the only MCU films to not get any votes were Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World.  As for the Spider-Man films only Spider-Man 3 went away voteless, the rest got 2 or more votes each.

You had it over The Artist, the film that dominated the Oscars that you totally despise?

Despising something and thinking something else is over rated is completely different,  TS is much much much more loved than the Artist.  No one likes the Artist except for the guys who suck Harvey's dick in the academy.

When Bond's latest assignment goes gravely wrong and agents around the world are exposed, MI6 is attacked forcing M to relocate the agency. These events cause her authority and position to be challenged by Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes), the new Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. With MI6 now compromised from both inside and out, M is left with one ally she can trust: Bond. 007 takes to the shadows - aided only by field agent, Eve (Naomie Harris) - following a trail to the mysterious Silva (Javier Bardem), whose lethal and hidden motives have yet to reveal themselves.

TomatoMeter - 92%

IMDb - 7.8

Metacritic - 81

Box Office - 304m DOM / 1.108b WW

Why Critics Think It's Overrated -

"A bloated, tedious, uninspired, sluggish and vapid bore that can only be enjoyed by very shallow, unctuous philistines." - Avi Offer, NYC Movie Guru

"The director, Sam Mendes, has taken a pop concept and solemnized it with Freud, which is not, perhaps, the best way of turning Bond into grownup entertainment." - David Denby, New Yorker

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated

"Finally saw it, and honestly, I think it's overrated. To me, it felt like it couldn't quite make up its mind to be this dark, brooding Nolanesque movie or a more typical goofy, somewhat unrealistic Bond movie. Some very nice scenes and moments, but also some absurd ones. I don't think much of Bardem's villain and, rather like TDK, his evil plan has moments of real dubiousness. " - Telemachos

"Overrated. It's The Dark Knight Lite. It is a great bond film but I disliked the ending completely. It did not top Casino Royale in that part. " - #ED

Fun Fact - "The movie does not feature any American actors or characters, which is unusual for a big budget English language film."

IM - Slightly overrated, but still excellent.

Passion - Is it really overrated? I rarely hear anyone talk about it. It was big news for a few months in 2004, but now it's basically irrelevant.

Shrek 2 - Agreed.

Skyfall - Deserves every bit of praise it gets.

Thor

(77 points, 6 votes)

<ahttp://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTYxMjA5NDMzNV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwOTk2Mjk3NA@@._V1_SX214_.jpg' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' />

The warrior Thor (Hemsworth) is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father Odin (Hopkins) for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live among humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster (Portman) teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth.

TomatoMeter - 77%

IMDb - 7.0

Metacritic - 57

Box Office - 181M DOM / 449M WW

Why Critics Think It's Overrated

"Somebody, somewhere, is proud of the art direction and animation that brings this city to life, but it just looks like a Lord of the Rings fan film." - Nick Deigman, Fan the Fire

"Thor continues the trend of weakly jumpstarting a franchise based on a Marvel comic with an instantly forgettable origin story." - Simon Abrams, Slant Magazine

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated

"Still have no Idea why we needed to go to Earth at all." - Jay Hollywood

"Yeah, this film sucked." - Thomas Jefferson

Fun Fact - "It's mentioned in passing that Thor's hammer was forged inside "a dying star". This actually makes a modicum of scientific sense. When a very large star dies in a supernova, sometimes its remains collapsed to form a "neutron star". These objects cram the mass of the sun into the size of a city, forming a new kind of matter nicknamed neutronium. A single teaspoon of this material would weigh billions of tonnes. If Mjolnir was made of this material, it would certainly explain its incredible weight."

The one thing that should be pointed out is that just because something is over rated, doesn't mean it is a bad movie.  Some of the comments you have put down from the forum members indicate that many of them dislike the films you speak of.  Over rated is not hate.

That's true, it's just hard to find comments and reviews just talking about how something is overrated (I was able to with Skyfall), so I go with what I can.

This next one is an example of a movie making this from a couple people ranking it very high on their lists.

The Social Network

(78 points, 3 Votes)

<ahttp://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTM2ODk0NDAwMF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNTM1MDc2Mw@@._V1_SX214_.jpg' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' />

On a fall night in 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programming genius Mark Zuckerberg sits down at his computer and heatedly begins working on a new idea. In a fury of blogging and programming, what begins in his dorm room soon becomes a global social network and a revolution in communication. A mere six years and 500 million friends later, Mark Zuckerberg is the youngest billionaire in history... but for this entrepreneur, success leads to both personal and legal complications.

TomatoMeter - 96%

IMDb - 7.8

Metacritic - 95

Box Office - 96m DOM / 224m WW

Why Critics Think It's Overrated

"The unavoidable conclusion I've come to about this year's "best" movies is that we are awash in visual, editing and soundtrack mastery from Fincher, Denis and even Aronofsky, but we are very much lacking in scriptwriters who can help ground their inspirations with structure, more subtle and ambiguous thought, and firm psychological sense." - Dan Callahan, House Next Door

"The Social Network may not turn out to be the definitive movie made about the plugged-in generation, but it's a pretty good start." - Ali Gray, theShiznit.co.uk

Why Box Office Analysts Think It's Overrated -

"Decent film but way, way over hyped. It's they type film where once you see it once, you're good. It has no rewatchability factor and the performances are as expected. Did not see any "breakthrough" jobs done here. Above average at best.

Forgettable months after you see it. " - Captain Craig

"Grating, Prating, Cold and Boring" - Riczhang

Fun Fact - "Amy's line in French ("Tu fais l'amour a la jolie fille") roughly translates in English, "You've made love to a pretty girl.""

Thor is barely "rated", I agree. I feel like even most people here have it towards the middle of their rankings of MCU films.

TSN on the other hand, is extremely overrated. I regret not submitting a list for this, because TSN would have made top five easily. I don't think I've ever seen a film where I hated a larger proportion of the characters. I thought I was one of the only people who believed it wasn't "robbed" and that The King's Speech was the rightful BP winner.
