I meant thursday.. oops Which is why I have it around IM3's OW, as that burnt off quite a bit on wednesday. Maybe $11 OW for Thor is probably more reasonable.

It should easily do a minimum $10m.  Also, don't for get the first one opened the same weekend and as FF5.  Thor 2 shouldn't have any competition and therefore have far more sessions.

SoOD - 3.4mOW - 14.5m5th biggest all time ow weekend. 40m+ total????Talk about the avengers effect. For a clue on the US. slightly less than what i posted earlier but it just an amazing opening... Avengers Factor indeed.....

 

I'm also impressed with the hold that the Croods did this weekend.  Most easter animation releases tend to last for 4 good holds and then drop crazy (> 60 or even 70% dip in it's 5th weekend)  The croods has bucked this trend (at least for 1 more weekend)... 

 

After last weekend I had this pegged for 23m finish, but now a 24m+ finish is on the cards given the strength of the hold...

 

As for iron man 3... it's only days away from passing the croods, and shouldn't take much more than 11 days to become the number 1 film of 2013... it's gonna be hard to catch i think too unless it drops hard!

The Crood's weekly drop will be huge though, school holidays have ended in NSW. They end in WA next next Sunday.

Ok. It's at 17.5m now. 3m from mon - wed?(TA made 4m last yr for reference. )Makes it 20.5m. Im3 should manage 7m to 8m. Even 6m which would be low puts only few more days from passing pi. (That's. day 11)Frankly I could Im3 making 3.5 weekdays even 4 is possible. Suddenly we are talking 21m to 22'm before the weekend. By Sunday I think pi will only be a stones throw away

Good point.I still don't think I even realise how big this opening is. I'm underestimating its gross.12, 13 days max.
