Good news: 1.2m euros. 17m euros total. It'll enter top50 with 20m euros with all the big hits.

 

Bad news: the rest of the market. House of Gucci is second with just 412k euros. The totals are just sad to see.

€ 1.225.192 this is this weekend? (Fri + Sat + Sun)?

so it is the dissapointing weekend for all movies (similar to the north america market)?

I would say worse. Spidey numbers are very impressive considering the state of the market. Around 20m would be great in normal times imagine now. 

 

Total box office Boxing day (euro)

2018: 7.3m

2019: 8.8m

2021: roughly 3m

After two weeks of release for No Way Home it seems fair to make some comparisons with other comparable Marvel movies, and I must thank the site Cineguru which has all the daily top 10 grosses of the last few years

 

Infinity War

9M in the first week (5 days release)

6M in the second week

2M in the third week

 

I will never get tired of repeating it, but Infinity War was really disappointing: it had a great start and also a good hold in the second week, but in the third it was already dead. Despite one of the weakest competition ever it failed to reach the 20 million

 

Endgame

17M first week (5 days release)

9M second week

2M third week (here Detective Pikachu was first)

 

Endgame had an insane start (the third biggest of the last 20 years) and the drop was really sharp but totally expected. It still managed to pass the 30 million, after the underperforming of Infinity War it wasn't granted

 

Far From Home

5M first week

3M second week

2M third week

 

This was released in the worst grossing month of the year (July), so grossing almost 12M isn't that bad (despite my optimistic expectation of 15M). And once again there was basically no competition, neither Italian nor foreign

 

No Way Home

11M first week

6M second week

 

Although it's more comparable with the two Avengers (front-loaled start and period with some holidays) for the moment it's also comparable with Far From Home, since in both the first two weeks it has grossed exactly double of the predecessor. If it does the same also in the third week it will gross about 4 million, and given the presence of January 1st it doesn't seem so impossible

 

Also in this case the competition is ridiculous, the problem more than anything else is that everyone wants to take advantage of the Christmas window, so between December 15 and January 1 there were/there are at least 10 movies with a planned wide release, when many could have come out earlier (House of Gucci, Diabolik) or later...
