So Quo Vado numbers are nothing of extraordinary if compared with Sole a Catinelle. Someone was speaking about a 10M+ opening day. More, QV  could collapse after the end of the holiday frame (6 Jan).

 

1 january isn't the biggest day in italian box office, 26 december is. By the way, only the next week will tell us il Quo Vado? will be able to surpass Sole a catinelle.

3rd Nov Sun.

 

Saying "nothing of extraordinary" with +22 M in 3 days and +26 M in 4 days is just ridicolous.

 

Moreover: it doesn't need to match Sole a Catinelle's total to be considered a success.

 

I don't know who predicted 10M+ OD (when the record in a Day was 5,6), but that was just a ridicolous high prediction (just like a 180M's prediction OD for SW7 would have been)

PAST 3 DAYS (FRI-SUN) RECORD OW: These are the Datas that are comunicated on Monday morning -and so minimally incomplete - (but these are the datas that here you usually reports). 

 

 

2000: La leggenda di Al , John e Jack ----- 5.01 M

2001: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ----- 5.29 M

2002: Pinocchio ----- 7.02 M

2006: Da Vinci Code ----- 7.95 M

2010: Avatar ----- 9.65 M

2011: Che Bella Giornata ----- 11.82 M (opened on Wed)

2013: Sole a Catinelle ----- 16,27 M (opened on Thu)

2016: Quo Vado? ---- 22,25 M

 

The fact is that the market hasn't changed that much in the last 10 years: if you open at 7 M  it's still a very big results (only a dozen of films made it in Fri-Sun).

 

It's olny Zalone's supremacy that makes it seem easy.

Here too it's holiday, but only in a few of the states here (the Catholics), some states have their school holidays till today too, even if it's not a public holiday there.

Really curious to see the details of Italy, Germany, France, Spain,.... for this week and next week, when it's back to normal day-to-day life
