Lol my prediction isn't the only one that high.  You don't predict based  on logic Jedi.  You predict praying avtr2 won't make sws run look like nothing.  It's still going to happen.  As James fans aren't dead.  They range from the, 5 to 90 plus and when the trumpet of fox trailer and avatarr day sounds..... The stuff of legend begins again.  Lotr3 ww to ultron ww numbers domestically and more than the entire lotr saga 2.9b are all insight. Can Cameron go  beyond the 3.5 to 4b ww mark.  Join us as we discuss history in the making.  Cheers!!!

I think if China really loved it, and they kept it running like the first film did we could see it break the 4B barrier, but Jim may be living god, it seems high even for his standards.

I know.  But this sequel feels special.  You can feel that feeling in your gut that fox and Jim and all moviegoers who remembers tt2, aliens, the greatest epic of them all titanic are coming.  If they do the same kind of Awe and your going to go bonkers type promotions and  TV specials then announce another avtr day in 200 plus total locations between domestic and ww like in 2009 we can break the bank on scale  not seen since titanic.  Rem how folks in some countries and even here koed each other to get that special sneak digital stereo 3d glimpse of what James did next.  Fox listens to fans on those giant FB fanpages.  They will do another event movie day.  The way avtr made billions for them across the board without 30 yrs of fandom.  They going to go big on the sequel s. Disney knows avtr is the bigger monster so they too negotiating with Cameron and Fox for parks and making TV shows and who knows what else.  Love it one movie can help put fox way ahead of the biggest money year ever for a movie studio at the bo.

Imagin the a film of Avatar's quality and longevity mixed with Star Wars franchise power, 4bil isn't out of the question.

Agreed. Merely the fact that Jim did Aliens and T2, arguably two of the greatest sequels of all time should be enough to make serious film fans shudder with excitement at the thought of another sequel from him.

Don't forget Spain,  UK and Japan,  Australia.  Just look at the numbers in markets so small in 2009. Japan,  China, sk,uk Australia will give us almost 1.8b os all by themselves.  We should break Fast and bond in England.  China alone will hit 600 to 700 plus m. Now that is bo power

I really hope so, but the true potential is unlocked if JC can convince Xi Jinping to allow Avatar 2 an unlimited run there - I know he spoke to him at the recent talks in the US, although that was probably on environmental issues not film unfortunately.

4B here we come.

Neytiri is going to look even realer than she did in the original, that alone will make 1bil.
