kitik
What do you think kitik talks about in his secret councils of state, TDKR? He gets out his linear programming charts, statistical decision theories, minimax solutions, and computes the price-cost probabilities of his predictions and guesstimations, just like we do. Lol. For the record, I did in fact put some work into winning the game last year, I didn't just stumble into it via blind luck. I spent a lot of time looking at all sorts of numbers before coming up with what I felt were the best answers.

kitik
How about a question after May 1 along the lines of: Of the current wide releases, which one is most likely to change it's release date (by more than 7 days)? No negative points for getting it wrong, just bonus points for anyone who can guess which movie is most likely to get delayed until winter for various GIJoe or Sin City or Frankenstein or whatever reasons. I added in the 7 days qualifier because surely some movies will move forward by a few days (and some may delay by a week too.) Maybe it should be 1 month instead of 7 days. Can't really ask that question now though, since some movies may already move before May 1.

kitik
Here are the films listed as wide this year...only these films count for top 15 and preseason. Now keep in mind, this list will be updated right up until May 2nd. So there may be films that are listed as going wide in the future that are not listed as such yet. But as of today, here are the films that are wide and part of the game. Here are all the films that qualify as wide releases for this summer. This is all according to boxofficemojo.com. Nothing against Shawn and our home site, but I have been using Mojo for this part of the game since the beginning and I don't like change. The Amazing Spider-man 2 Chef Legend of Oz: Dorothy's Return Mom's Night Out Neighbors Godzilla Million Dollar Arm Blended X-Men: Days of Future Past Maleficent A Million Ways to Die in the West Edge of Tomorrow Fault in our Stars 22 Jump Street How to Train your Dragon 2 The Rover Jersey Boys Think Like a Man Too Transformers Age of Extinction Deliver us From Evil Earth to Echo Tammy And So It Goes Dawn of the Planet of the Apes The Fluffy Movie Jupiter Ascending Planes: Fire and Rescue The Purge: Anarchy Hercules Sex Tape Step Up: All In Get on Up Guardians of the Galaxy The Hundred Foot Journey Into the Storm Lucy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles As Above, So Below Expendables 3 The Giver Let's be Cops Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For If I Stay When the Game Stands Tall Jane Got a Gun Jessabelle The Loft Underdogs Snowpiercer (not listed as wide yet but it will be, I'm pretty sure). Already a change: Chef is no longer listed as a wide release.
