Wknd Estimates: Godzilla - 93.2M

It is, but both of them are better than this new movie by a considerable margin.

What are you smoking if you consider the abomination that is King of the Monsters is better then Godzilla 2014.

Which is why you saw WB full marketing muscle come out on this and not Pacific Rim.

Yeah, this will at least take care of some of the hole left by Harry Potter. Over time it could do a pretty good job replacing that franchise if it can get more traction overseas, like what we've seen with Transformers.

not at all, only Pocahontas ,dance with wolves ,spirit , TG , the smurfs , blade runner etc. LOL

Its annoying when people do this. Avatar was completely original. It is the highest opening and grossing original movie ever. It is not ADAPTED from a movie, show, book, game, ride, toy, anything. Even Lego Movie isnt original because it's based off toys. Avatar may have borrowed elements from other movies, but it didnt adapt from them. Neighbors copied a bunch of penis jokes, so is that not original?Godzilla is not original, but a reboot, and its smashing reboot records. Avatar is original, no matter how much it looks like Pocahontas...

Avatar was original, it just wasn't new or unique. You won't find much new or unique in storytelling; we've been doing it for thousands of years, just about everything's been covered.
