Yes with a couple exceptions ,countries do and submit records based in lc because that's what they are working with and also reports to local Media  in some cases there will also be records based on admits as well but studios only care about the $

Looking at the presales for the main teatre chain they are almost as big as last weekend. I didn't check other chains but I doubt the drop will be something out of the ordinary. I guess it will hold decent enough.

First week in Mexico: $10.1m. First week in Argentina: $5m

 

In Uruguay its first week was huge. It did better than movies as Trans4mers, X-Men:DoFP, Big Hero 6 or Night at the Museum 3 during their whole run!!!

Fifty Shades Of Grey stands at $29.9m in the UK, $18m in Germany and $15m in France.

Italy has generated $14m while Brazil and Russia have delivered $13m apiece.

The film opens this weekend in Trinidad and ventures into South Korea next week (February 26), followed by select Middle East markets on March 5 and Egypt on March 11.

2nd weekend is going to be absolutely massive again over here. Pre-sales are big. Today it was number 1 while Kingsman opened well in number 2.
