WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot
Guardians will have a better 2nd weekend than CA2. Even with a lower OW. You guys should be really happy that is happening. This is really all I wanted What age of kid would you guys say the new TMNT is suitable for? Would an under-4-year-old kid be okay going to it? WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot
Damn!I really want to take the kid to a movie. Kind of think GOTG would be too much for him, but he loves Groot and Rocket.I can't wait for the next family movie to come out....

Clef Ment
I can't believe a movie with a stupid talking raccoon and a dumb ass tree is making so much money. Go Turtles! Yep, human-like ninja turtles make more sense.
Hatebox
Yep, human-like ninja turtles make more sense. In fairness Baumer was only responding to someone who made the inverse of his comment.
darkelf
Yes, shocking that GOTG went down from 47 mill lol But how could have the numbers posted at 1 PM PST been wrong? Surely that has to be enough to project the whole run of the movie.
Clef Ment
In fairness Baumer was only responding to someone who made the inverse of his comment. The initial comment was about the ugliness of the turtles, which is true : the design is terrible. And I don't see why would Rocket and Groot be considered as "stupid" and "dumb ass". #ED
We still don't have official estimates. Perhaps GOTG found a way to 14M today.

I can definitely see why.
baumer
Yep, human-like ninja turtles make more sense. Nothing really makes sense in the movies, it's all the imagination of the creator and thus it becomes a matter of personal preference.

WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot
Planes might be a good choice..The really sad thing is that I forgot all about that movie :(Why can't every kids movie be The LEGO Movie? filmscholar
Well Jonathan Liebesman films do well financially, it's the quality that's my issue. But he finally did a decent blockbuster with "Turtles". Sadly for him, Michael Bay is getting all the glory, you would of thought he directed it.
ecstasy
GOTG is already an enormous success, regardless of what it makes this weekend. I'm just happy to see that many of the people who predicted impossible numbers like a sub 50% drop are now getting ready to eat some delicious crow. I have to say. Things were getting out of hand. People were starting to get pretty cocky around here They just assumed Turtles would be behind it this weekend.
