Weekend numbers, version 2: With RTH Sunday, new projections TMNT 65.5, GOTG 42.2

Hell turtles surprised most of this board and we as a whole are better than the professionals!Now as to Guardians, I expect it's Sunday to rise a bit so I think actuals will be higher 3-400k

 

 

That's exactly what I thought when I saw that 27% Sunday drop...they're being conservative. It's pretty cool when you can be conservative and still make more than Cap 2's second weekend after burning more off during the summer weekdays.

I can't believe it wasn't put into a double feature with TMNT. But, maybe they did and now we're seeing the real correction after the OW fudge?

But, tbh, all the major sites were about as far off as he was. Including this one. That's why they are called surprise openings.

 

But it wasn't that much of a surprise.  Tracking had it at 45-50 mill.  Guru doesn't seem to pay attention to tracking.

ps: anyone else had problems getting on the forum ? i just spent an hour trying to get on and refreshing the page but it wouldnt load up and kept getting blank page saying its unavailable  but then i tried other sites and they're working fine 

 

all i wanted to do is go read reviews and post mine about GoTG , anyhoo working now !

I do, yes.  But for it to be "tracking: at 45-50 a 36 mill prediction seemed a little low.

Those movies came out 20 years ago when films like Jurassic Park cost 65 million dollars to make.
