It is from a studio that doesn't exactly have a good history (or any kind of history, really) with mainstream releases (they've only had two movies make over $10M+ total) and the ad campaign hasn't been all that strong. I don't think it's going that low but I'll be surprised by much more than a $10M opening.
Zakiyyah6
I just believe it's going to be a niche movie that critics rave about but that nobody actually sees. And it's not like Daniel Craig is any sort of a draw. It just reminds me of Detroit in the way that fans and critics will think that it's amazing and predict a double digit opening that it won't get. If I'm wrong that's fine. Edited August 13, 2017 by Zakiyyah6

If I'm wrong that's fine. It's being marketed heavily in the south, and I think that region will drive (no pun intended) the box office. Having acclaim and cinephiles behind it is a bonus. Nova
Not sure how fans are going to react to Logan Lucky, to be honest. A percentage of folks have seen it and have rated it in IMDb. It's got a score of 6.5/10. I don't usually put too much stock in IMDb scores but a score like that compared to how it's doing critically....to me, it seems like a film that critics rave about but that the GA doesn't respond to. I'm with Zakiyah in that it reminds me of Detroit. Critics love it but the GA is so-so towards it. I still think it can get in the low to mid teens though. So my range for it is $13-16M. Which for a film like it is great. That's what it needs to get. THB is one that I can't quite figure out either. I can see it in the low teens but I can also see it hitting $20M. The marketing for it has done it no favors outside of the first trailer for it (imo) but it has crowd pleasing qualities. So my range for that one is like $13-20M. Im honestly feeling like Deadline with my predictions. Edited August 13, 2017 by Nova
