mahnamahna
No more $200M grosser until November? Most likely. The Martian and MI5 are the only two until then with a semi-plausible shot at the mark.
zackzack
Most likely. The Martian and MI5 are the only two until then with a semi-plausible shot at the mark. I wish MI5 got to $200M mark. I love the fact that people push their limits to entertain the masses like Cruise & his team. And The Martian looks to gross at Prometheus level, $120M+, at least. Maxmoser3
MI5 will do fine I don't get why people on here are predicting this to do around/below MI3 OW. Edited July 28, 2015 by Maxmoser3
BK007
Going to number drop here. I normally predict on my own spreadsheet and update the totals after actual opening weekend on top, erasing my prediction. So, might as well leave it somewhere so I can gloat a little when I get things right. The predictions range from months in advance (first trailer) to the week of release but before preview numbers. Snapshot of numbers hit: Southpaw $16m, Pixels $32m, Trainwreck $29m, Ant Man $58m, Minions $90m, Terminator Genisys (5-day) $38m, Inside Out $85m Snapshot of numbers miss: Paper Towns $24m, Magic Mike XXL (5-day) $38m, Ted 2 $52m, Jurassic World $121m The rest I updated with actuals and don't know what I predicted anymore. I think most were after trailer or months before release except IO and JW, and even then, I missed massively on JW, lol. I think my Pixels and Minions numbers might actually be misses with % wise, not bothered to calculate. Mattrek
I feel like with Wrath doing the user tracking now this thread will die pretty quickly.
Wrath
Well, I hope it doesn't, because this thread has *LONG* history and it tracks kinda different stuff than my thread. Plus, I do gather numbers from here so even for my parochial purposes its still valuable. I am considering expanding the window in which I take predicts from here from Monday back to Saturday. At that point everyone will have a pretty decent idea of how things went the previous weekend when working up their predictions. Plus, I notice a few folks seem to post predicts over the weekend and I'd like to include them. So, yeah, I think I will. Asyulus
Keep in mind that MI4 did over $200m, despite being released in December. So MI5 will obviously make it to the milestone.

BenedictL11
MT score for MI5 is 49%...now how much good is that? It won't open under $50M (unless it plays like Pacific Rim). It may be able to get 60%+ by tonight, which could make a play for $60M.
