DAJK
I agree that for the most part 2010 wasn't interesting, but 2012 was a pretty good year.
mahnamahna
I agree that for the most part 2010 wasn't interesting, but 2012 was a pretty good year. For the decade, I'd probably go (as far as quality): 2012 2011 2014 2010 2013
Ethan Hunt
2011 is easily the year that did the most for me personally of the past 5 years.

Kalo
I agree that for the most part 2010 wasn't interesting, but 2012 was a pretty good year. really? I think 2010 was maybe the best year of the decade so far. that or 2014.
chasmmi
2015 looks like a bunch of blockbusters. Doesn't every year just look like a bunch of blockbusters at this point of the year. I mean even come June 2014, I had no idea about the existence of Birdman, Whiplash, American Sniper etc and these are alledgedly the best films of the year. (I'll know more for myself by March) January is the time when people are guessing for non-blockbusters and films like Walter Mitty and Hyde Park on Hudson are considered as potential early frontrunners.
Goffe
according to my IMDB profile page 2013 - 5.96 average - 54 films 2014 - 5.47 - 32 2012 - 5.43 - 129 2010 - 5.12 - 72 2011 - 4.78 - 114 Actually, 2013 has the best average of all years. I still have to watch a lot movies from that year though (82 to be exact). Edited January 10, 2015 by Goffe Ascending
Jessie
2012 was an awesome year for movies, even had a great Oscar line up yet with all those great nominations like Django, ZDT and Life of Pi the award went to the underserving Argo lol. Oscars make me laugh because they are always so so wrong
