JURASSIC WORLD WEEKEND ACTUALS | TRIPLE RECORD!!!! (DOM - 208.8M; OS - 315.3M; WW - 524.1M). DOWN GOES AVENGERS.

BOOM. What a great article.

I read interviews with the french minions guys and sorry, but this article is pure bullshit.

These guys are artists and nobody believed in the minions when they came up with the concept.

It s easy to say something is manufactured AFTER the fact.

Reeks on elitism and arrogance.

Maybe I wasn ' t clear enough, but the article you linked is pathetic.

It tries a bit too hard and implies the guys who created the Minions are cynics which they are not, they are passionate guys that live and breathe for their art  and they just got lucky.

If the Minions make no point, well, it always was the objective.

It might shock us I just don't see it getting 200 Million in December on OW. 150+ yes but u got to factor in that its Winter and not a lot of people will want to go out in Snow Storms like people would go out in the Summer.

folks did come out in snow storms to see avatar, infact the it was one of the largest storms hitting NA. I think it depends how bad. If bad storms hit the domestic world again sws has no chance at breaking the ow record, but if storms are middle of the road in intensity and marketing hits just right...hmm jp may not be the only old franchise shaking up the world this year.

Never count out nostalgia factor as jpworld has shown the world.

Oh god please let Avatar 2 not have snow storms like the first. I want to see what its truly capable of ow wise

Dont hit me but i sort of loved jaws2 and dennis quaids jawd 3. Lol universal's early shot at trying to pull a 3d game changer lol

Jaws 2 is enjoyable, Jaws 3 is bad but entertaining, at least it's better then Jaws: The Revenge though.

So many people are so sure Star Wars will take this record back.

It was already being said that SWep7 would dethrone Avengers OW, it's just no one for saw the explosion of Jurassic World.

It didn't shatter Avengers OW either so it's still held that SW7 will take the OW and it feels about as safe a bet in Box Office predicts as there could be. It has all the same markings that JW(nostalgia) did AND it has the original crew back, like FFurious 4 so it's a reasonable assumption.

We'll all know soon enough though.

I could be proven wrong which I will admit I was if it happens I just don't see it.
