CoolioD1
I want to say that I have a feeling that one mainstream flick will make it in and for right now, I think that is going to be Skyfall.No.
CoolioD1
I can see Skyfall getting a bunch of BAFTA nominations though. Especially since it's the 50th anniversary.

Kvikk Lunsj
Not quite.I think one of his movies did.But he never won an Oscar, he was not a producer on Rebbecca.
CloneWars
Honestly, I just have this feeling about Skyfall. My gut is telling me that it will get a BP nom even though the notion does sound ridiculous.

CoolioD1
I loved Skyfall, my favourite film of the year so far, but Academy won't go for it. Since Casino Royale couldn't get a single nomination I doubt they'll go for this one in a big way. I still think it could get a couple tech none like cinematography or sound though. RichWS
The new rules are meant to help it get in. Casino didn't have that advantage.
pieman
There is no way Skyfall is getting in, new rules or not. Will 300 people really choose it as the best film of the year? The Academy takes themselves very seriously and I doubt they would be willing to nominate a James Bond movie.

fishstick
MI4 had great reviews, good META, no nomination. Skyfall isn`t happening but BAFTA is possible, though they fucked over HP:DH2 so who knows?
Impact
Avengers and TDKR got great reviews....tough luck on them getting nominations for major awards though. (Though I still want to see TA get a screenplay nom.)

Skyfall isn`t happening but BAFTA is possible, though they fucked over HP:DH2 so who knows?Casino Royale got 9 BAFTA nominations (the most of any film that year) including major stuff like Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best British Film - so obviously they like Bond more than Potter. So in that case BAFTA should be locked. Mendes is a Brit boy,no?
CoolioD1
Yes, he is indeed. And if Judi Dench could get nominated for her 40 seconds-long performance in My Week With Marilyn last year she can get nominated for Skyfall.
