Lordmandeep
Titanic was huge in very small and minor markets. I know in countries like Afghanistan Titanic was played for years in theaters. To be honest I am not sure the overseas gross captures all the grosses for that film.
POTUS 2020
4 minutes ago, terrestrial said: It might be a language thingie, I do understand a lot of posts here like the riter think their prediction is 100% sure to be correct and all others are ???? something not nice, if not agreeing = with that post, your = I am sure... (and the smiley) it sounds like YOU are sure, but do not think others are ... whatever if having another POV My posts are not meant to discourage predictions, but heated reactions over numbers that are IMHO not set in stone as long as the actuals are not realeased (no matter Minday, next week ór at it's run end) When throwing out a prediction on anything, by default you are saying others are wrong. They are doing the same to me. When I'm right I get bragging rights and usually money being a former trader and poker player. When I'm wrong I concede and pay up. Last weekend I insisted the weekend would not be over 160 due to a number of factors when the forum got euphoric after OWeek. I insisted that there would not be a greater than 25% drop yesterday for a reason when many doomers were saying -30%+ and less than 20m and a sub 100m WE. My point is I stick with the numbers, I don't go with hype or doom. I'm not always right but I've been close as others have. Having been a trader I can't help but notice that when the market is surging the hype kicks in and there is no end in sight, so people say. When it's falling the feeling is the world is going to hell and will never recover. Same here and with BOM and BO.com. a bit of over and under correcting. It's fun to watch and I like to take part and throw my dart on target. That's all. Having said that BJ has been the man. Post to follow. His dailies have been a little high or low but he has been dead on overall . I have been in line with his prediction since OD. However, he posted this on the 11th before the hype really got going. And was called many things.

I know in countries like Afghanistan Titanic was played for years in theaters. To be honest I am not sure the overseas gross captures all the grosses for that film. Titanic became massively popular in Afghanistan, but the Taliban had shut down all the theaters so it gained most of its popularity there via pirated copies. The Jack Dawson cut was very fashionable to Afghani boys/men and the Taliban jailed people for even giving the haircut: Quote The religious police, who enforce an interpretation of Islam that includes a ban on shaving, have detained dozens of barbers for trimming the hair of the capital's youth in the Titanic style, witnesses said. "We don't know for sure the precise number of the arrested people, but reportedly they exceed 30 and have been in the jail for over a week now for giving a Titanic hairstyle," said one barber, who declined to be identified. So it's fun to follow box office and mark the impressive achievements, but foolish to think that it means everything to a movie's enduring popularity. 30 minutes ago, terrestrial said: wDeadline Hollywood @Deadline Natalie Cole Dies: Grammy-Winning Singer, Actress Was 65 http://deadline.com/2016/01/natalie-cole-dies-singer-songwriter-nat-king-cole-1201674808/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter … RIP, it felt like "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" was used in a lot of rom-com trailers/movies through the years: Edited January 1, 2016 by BoxOfficeChica
