Weekend Actuals: The Force Awakens - 90.2M !!!

Recommended Posts

It took 19 years for a non-Cameron film to pass Titanic. Wow. Congrats to Star Wars.

How do the actual admission numbers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens compare to that of Titanic though? BOM has Titanic at 135 million and Star Wars: The Force Awakens at 80 million. Are these somewhat accurate numbers (+/- 5 millions error at most)?

I haven't read the books yet. Guess I don't have to worry about the show spoiling it for me.

I get that these are long books but writing to deadline is a talent all its own.Just hope he can complete the next one because I get the feeling this series will never reach the end.

I have and the last season of the show mixed elements beyond where the books were already. So I only knew about half the events from last season ahead of time.

That said the show saw a noteable drop off in quality especially in terms of writing since there was no book source material to leverage.

Im afraid thats going to be the case till it finishes.

Shame because the books are PHENOMENAL.

Star Wars seems to be losing some steam but hey, a $90M third weekend is still amazing.

The Hateful Eight's numbers are fine. Appeal was clearly limited to anyone outside of Tarantino's fan base.

Hateful Flop.

Umm, no! Avatar will still be far above it worldwide. That's all that matters. Good thing too, TFA is overrated.

Titanic would make about 880m with inflation (without re-release)

19 years is a long time to stay at the top when inflation is kicking in each year.

Talk about Lazy reporting. Mon or tues, maybe wed, outside chance on thursday, perhaps Friday, but almost assuredly on Saturday unless it happens Sunday.

You can't be serious can you? It's doing really bad in lots of places compared to Avatar (Japan, SK, France, Spain, Italy)
