7 nominationf for Hacksaw Ridge from the Critics Choice Awards!

The real surprise here, however, goes to Hacksaw Ridge, the World War II drama directed by Mel Gibson. The film picked up seven nominations, including for best picture, best director, and best actor. Gibson, it would seem, might actually have a comeback on his hands.

When everybody is leaving the ridge and he's still there with Smitty body and ask God

"What is it you want of me? I don't understand. I CAN'T HEAR YOU"

And then comes a voice from deep in the battlefield, with heavy artillery still hitting the ground

"MEDIC! MEDIC!

And then he's like

"Alright"

And he's going in, alone, fearless.

It could've been so cheesy, but it wasn't. Fu!k!ng goosebumps
