But if I had to give you a number, I'd say it ends with about 56. Okay that's what I thought too but didn't know if I was reaching lol I think they can each do about another $10M a piece, which would be fantastic for horror this summer. Between these two movies, The Purge and Lights Out (which is getting really good reviews) it's been an excellent summer for horror.

As he says, "Their damn movie is being played. Might as well have people actually see it." I mean exactly. There are... lots of theatres that would do that. It's just the principle of Disney trying to take away the perk that bother me. Part of the reason staff get free movies is so that they can actually have opinions on what they're selling to people.
JohnnyGossamer
I'm confused... Does just apply to printing a free ticket stub? Or, is someone at the movie theater actually monitoring employees like a hawk? Why wouldn't you still able to watch anything you want sans a ticket?

Well, if Disney catches them trying to break the rules, they'll never show Disney movies again.

I've heard the hours at the Regal by me are just incredibly awful Outside of free movies and dealing with clueless people at the box office it sounds like an awful job. JohnnyGossamer
Disney has spies sitting around at random theaters nationwide? How would they know if they didn't pay aside from checking for stubs or counting folks in seats? Seems like it's pretty easy to get around it. You and your movie theater buddies will just have to suffer.
Nova
Where are IDR's and The Shallows TC? Or where they just not reported yet? I'm guessing that's what it is. Just found it odd all other films had them come out lol
baumer
BFG loses a shit load of screens. Wow!
Jake Gittes
Poor BFG. One of the saddest BO runs in recent memory. A24 should really just expand The Lobster back a hundred theaters or so. Its PTA has been rising every weekend for the past month even with miniscule theater drops.

And there's still 3-4 other films with a chance at $300 million+ after that. Rogue One and Moana should happen. Suicide Squad could happen. Fantastic Beasts is a longshot and depends on OW size and WOM. Other than those 4, Bourne 5, Passengers and Sing are the only films I could see doing it. With how lopsided this year has been, 14 $300 million+ DOM grossers and 0 $200-299 million DOM grossers would be in line with January-June 2016

But honestly someone I work with also works at the grocery store up the street and he says the cleaning is so my header here.
