a2k
Quote War of the Planet of the Apes (FOX), $1.56M weekend, international $224.5Mcume; global cume: $367.9M Should add ~3 more OS-China for 227.5 Dom looking at 146.5 dom (currently 145.3 after a 0.450 weekend) China could do 90. Japan could do 10? So 227.5 + 146.5 + 90 + 10 = 474 500 seems dead unless it surprises in China with ~110 or I am missing a market. a2k
good news from POTUS. 100 possible (not certain though). 2 hours ago, POTUS said: Apes PS may get up 50% today to 11m heading to a 28m total. 100m+ OD 340m/$53m+ weekend incoming. I now think it can reach 650m/$100m. It should have a few % of shows from the 29th(3rd weekend) thru the 8th and could make 5m per day with the weekend then holiday crowd for 11 days to get it over $100m, even to $110m as long as it doesn't have a 7.5 rating 90-100 from China makes 475-480 ww very likely. let's hope it gets a good rating. for 500 ww it needs to get to 105-110 and then do well in Japan too (10+ compared to Dawn's 12.7). miketheavenger
Hopefully it can at least beat the first movie's gross, if not reach 500m.

Avatree
Finally some good news for this movie... what's it likely to end up with in China, anyone know? According to BOM the previous one did 47/107.
MinaTakla
War For The Planet Of The Apes grossed $19.3m over the weekend, with $19.1m of that total coming from China where the film retains the number one position in the market for the second consecutive weekend, taking the market total to $99.3m. Japan is the final international market to release, scheduled for launch in mid-October. War For The Planet Of The Apes now stands at $325.4m internationally. According to BOM the previous one did 47/107. China is at 99-100m usd after 10 days. The 2nd weekend drop was 69% approx. It's gonna loose a lot of shows coming Saturday and final total may not go over 110m usd** ... which is a great number in itself. Even SMH is giong to end below 120m usd after a bigger ow. But the 115m total which looked possible for War after the ow won't happen. Only bringing this up cause 500m ww needed 115-120m usd from China. Current markets will finish at 146.5 dom + 110** China + 225.5 OS-China = 482 with Japan to come. Dawn of Apes made 12 in Japan so I don't think War can do much more than 9-10. Even if it over-performs with 12-14 in Japan, 495 too seems out of reach. EDIT: **I was using the incorrect ER as it keeps on changing every day. You got to use the ER during the OW. So APES China crossed $110m last weekend and is looking to settle at $113-114m. IMO it should do 485-486m ww with current markets and 493-496m after Japan. Just like how POTC5 is gonna end at 795m ww, this one will just fall short of it's milestone. Edited October 5, 2017 by a2knet
a2k
China on $112/737.6 using ER during ow ($61.07/402.1). Should do $113 if not $114. 146.5 Dom + 113 Ch + 225.5 OS-Ch = 485 WW-Japan. 494-496 with Japan imo. Edited October 8, 2017 by a2knet
