Mojoguy
I think the next movie with the biggest chance is Despicable Me 3, since Minions got so close. But it will depend alot of the exchange rate once again.
Kalo
I don't forsee any of those topping Frozen. The Incredibles is probably the only one that even has a chance.

We can not continue with the theory that every sequel can automatically double or triple in China what the previous film did. Even more when the first one already did an enormous amount. Avatar already did $200m 6 1/2 years ago and I am not completely sold that the sequel can manage 600-700 or even 800 million. That is really hard. Planodisney
I think it will have to be a film that has a huge breakout in China or Japan to go with a really solid run everywhere else. Minions as an example performed huge EVERYWHERE, yet it didn't breakout massively in any single market and finished over 100 million below Frozen. Going forward, there really isn't any accurate way of guessing what might blow-up in China or Japan. It's all a guessing game. I don't think a sequel will do it!!

MrFanaticGuy34
Blockbuster-sequels usually always have bigger OS appeals. And we had several movie-sequels that made over $800M+ OS in the last several years. Furious 7 = $1.163B OS Star Wars: EP7 = $1.131B OS Jurassic World = $1.018B OS Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: P2 = $960M OS Avengers: Age of Ultron = $946M OS Transformers: Age of Extinction = $858M OS Minions = $823M OS Iron Man 3 = $806M OS Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides = $804.6M OS Skyfall = $804.2M OS Edited September 3, 2016 by MrFanaticGuy34

I only added films that are continuations of a franchise. So Frozen doesn't count. Edited September 3, 2016 by MrFanaticGuy34
Planodisney
Because I believe an animated movie will have to break out into that 240-300 million range in China or Japan to pass Frozen. I just think something that surprisingly captures the imagination, like Frozen or Zootopia, is more likely to do that. I think a sequel is more likely to have a really big overseas gross, but I think an original film with an original story is more likely to break out big enough to pass Frozen.
