Sure The Chris Columbus films are very magical, but they're also very silly and more kid-friendly. His style of directing wouldn't have worked for series, POTA and on, since the books and films get much darker.

I saw 0 Edgar Wright movies in theaters. This man is so relevant his movies don't come out here in theaters (or when they do they get dumped in December and in 3 screens, like Scott Pilgrim). 

 

I shall hopefully change that with Baby Driver. This man deserves my money.

The only superhero movies he included were Batman Returns, Spider-Man 2 and The Dark Knight. The actual best three. He's cool.

DH1 is pretty good. It might be a bit boring but it has some incredible personal moments between characters. I might like it more than DH2.

As a stand alone movie its not good structurally. You can't stay in the same location for the final 75 minutes. Thats why its boring.
