If SP has good wom with a 65% audience score then same must be said for SS with a 70% audience score.

Correct?

Didn't you know it? According to some users ( I think one has the Deadpool avatar ), SP is gonna be the "Deadpool of the animations!". ;)

133 pages for this weekend??? You never cease to amaze (depress?) me BOT.

I think some feel like 2nd weekends are pretty exciting with the badly reviewed DC movies. To see what happens after the big OW and how WOM or reviews might impact.

I'd be really surprised if 100 mil didn't happen for Sausage Party. I think WOM is good and it's spreading. I have it at 51m after 7 days and 68m after 10.

Yes it needs ~2.9x for 100m. Should get there considering it held well from OD.

Comparison with BAD MOMS,

2.00 + 7.54 (3.77x) + 7.81 (+3.6%) + 6.46 (-17.3%) = 23.81

3.25 + 10.25 (3.16x) + 11.4 (+11.2%) + 9.4 (-17.5%)  = 34.3

9.4 is 700k up from Sunday's estimates as said by N.

3 weekends after BAD MOMS OW, towards the close of summer, matching BAD MOM's Sunday drop is great.

105M+ I think.

Holy Crap Sam. Didn't know he was making it. Will it be on the big screen?

I found out fairly recently too. It'll be on the big screen. Articles said Sir Ken will be directing and taking on the role of Poirot, the movie slated to release on November '17.

It's still in the casting and pre-production stage I think, not filming yet.

And thus far it's performed very well for an R-rated animation and much higher than you and a lot of other users had it at. Much like how you guys underestimated Deadpool when it opened up. Thats what I meant when I said "Deadpool of animations." Where folks underestimate the performance of the film because of its R-rating and when it performs well, it has the potential to open the door for future films similar to it. So nice try, but try again.

It performed really well, but the Deadpool analogy doesn't make any sense. Deadpool was almost universally liked by both critics and audiences. SP so far, hasn't had anything similar to Deadpool's critics or reception. In fact, it's RT audience score dropped 4 points in less than 1 day, and it's already 4 points behind SS's RT audience score.

Like the other user said, if we're basing word of mouth on RT audience score: If SS is not having good word of mouth, well, SP isn't getting good word of mouth, either.

Regarding Deadpool, I never underestimated him. I've always loved the character and I'm quite happy we got such excellent movie. No try, no cry. I'll be watching SP once it gets released here.

Hi everybody.

I used to post on BOM forums ages ago and I recognize a few people here.

Deadline is reporting this morning that SP is up about 600k, and that SS is "about in sync" with estimates.

Welcome! What was your name on BOM?

One thing to consider it the fact that SS drops isn't as steep as bvs.

Bvs Had a 54% drop in weekend #3 I'm pretty sure SS can do 3-4% better.

9M!

6th weekend of some films and how much more they added to the cume,

INSIDE OUT 7.41M, 36M more

MINIONS 5.15M, 33M more

DESPICABLE ME 2 5.92M, 29.5M more

FINDING DORY 7.23M, 22.5M more (assuming 482.5M DOM)

Even in the worst case, using the post-6th weekend legs of FINDING DORY, PETS will add 28M more for 364M cume.

Realistically it should go north of 370M by adding 34M+ more after a 9M weekend.

Edit:

In the best case scenario FINDING NEMO's cume of 381M (after 3D re-release) is in line too.

That would leave PETS only behind FINDING DORY, SHREK 2, TOY STORY 3 and FROZEN.

Apart from MAG7, will we see a bigger opener than SP till DS arrives in November?

At least not according to pro.BO's latest long range forecast.

BO wise the only one I'm excited for is Mag7, I think it's going to break the September record and possibly become the biggest Western ever (if it's any good).

But I really hope Kubo could somehow get to #1 next week. That would be awesome.
