Just for information: There were 3 Horror movies last year with a multipler higher than 3.0x, and The Witch almost was the fourth one. The genre is not frontloaded as it used to be. 4x is still a hurdle to be jumped, though. Split is more of the anomaly, and while a handful of movies last year may have reached it, there's no guarantee that it's a trend that will reach all the films in the genre
AniNate
This is also an urban audience movie, which do tend to have weaker legs even when they get really good reviews (see: Straight Outta Compton)

JohnnyGossamer
I think this will play very well with young audiences. Horror movies make for great date night movies. Not to mention, current political climate in the US could result in a slightly heightened interest as well. But, expecting a very nice run at the box office for this one.
PDC1987
Expecting a breakout here. $4.5 million production cost.
Mockingjay Raphael
Box Office is projecting a $27m OW. I really hate myself for not doing my Get Out > Don't Breathe club.
Jayhawk the Hutt
If this doesn't make my Top 10 for this year, it'll be a great fucking year for film. Can't stop thinking about it. Up to 47/0 on RT. Getting tons of raves in recent reviews. Crazy to think this will be one of the best reviewed films of the year. franfar
Critics Consensus: Funny, scary, and thought-provoking, Get Out seamlessly weaves its trenchant social critiques into a brilliantly effective and entertaining horror/comedy thrill ride. Sounds excellent. But part of me feels like this movie won't hit the right chord with audiences.
Boxofficerules
Still 100%, when was the last time a horror movie managed to keep 100% with 50+ reviews?
angeldelmito
this looks good as fuck and the 100% on RT with like 50+ reviews guarantees my seeing it

AniNate
Average rating's gone up. This is officially a critical darling.
franfar
If the reviews are above 95% when all the reviews come in, I would not be surprised. This is still early, but has been consistently strong Edited February 23, 2017 by franfar

You shouldn't use it like RT for new releases. It's more useful once a movie's out of the spotlight.
