It's been a while since I did a proper crazy SOTM

 

Now, 'this may sound a little similar to SOTM5, but to anyone daring to suggest that I say: 'Shhh! It's hard to think of something completely different each week'.

 

Anyhow, you didn't come here for the banter, you came here for those juicy 500 thousand points I promised... well I suppose you could technically win all 500, but weird things would have to happen in the world of Box Office. 

 

Here are 5 questions: (Please only predict in integers, no decimals  ) 

 

1. Predict Rogue One's OW as a percentage of The Force Awakens' OW.

2. Predict Rogue One's Domestic Total as a percentage of The Force Awakens' Domestic Total.

3. Predict Rogue One's WW total as a percentage of The Force Awakens' WW total.

4. Predict Rogue One's Korean Gross as a percentage of The Force Awakens' Korean Gross.

5. Predict Rogue One's Christmas Day gross as a percentage of The Force Awakens' Christmas Day gross.

 

So how do you score points?

 

If your prediction is above the correct percentage by less than 10%, you will win your predicted percentage multiplied by 1000 points

If your prediction is below the correct percentage by less than 10%, you will win your predicted percentage multiplied by 500 points

If your prediction is below the correct percentage by less than 30%, you will win your predicted percentage multiplied by 250 points

 

So how do you lose points?

 

If your prediction is above the correct percentage by 10-25%, you will lose your predicted percentage multiplied by 250 points

If your prediction is above the correct percentage by more than 25%, you will lose your predicted percentage multiplied by 500 points

If your prediction is below the correct percentage by more than 30%, you will lose your predicted percentage multiplied by 200 points

 

Your final total will be round up to the nearest 1000 points. 

 

So if you predict 50% for question 1:

 

If the final number is between 0-25%, you would lose 25,000 points (50 x 500)

If the final number is between 25-40%, you would lose 12,500 points (50 x 250)

If the final number is between 40-50%, you would win 50,000 points (50 x 1000)

If the final number is between 50-60%, you would win 25,000 points (50 x 500)

If the final number is between 60-80%, you would win 12,500 points (50 x 250)

If the final number is between 80-100%, you would lose 10,000 points (50 x 200)

 

You must answer all 5 questions. 

 

You can abstain for minus 10,000 points

 

Non-predicting or abstaining will lose 25,000 points
