WOW it's bombing ih the US, but doing great business OS? Talking about day-and-night difference.

There is a single country it did somehow "great", and that was Russia...Two markets -- USA/Canada -- delivered 30 million.54 other markets -- OS -- delivered 70 million. Edited by pinocchio

Yes, but you always have to compare size of population vs. gross. Actually, Australia and Russia seem to be the two countries right now it actually did really great. (And not only Russia, as I said.)I mean Australia = 20 mio people, USA/Canada = 330 mio people, per capita moviegoing more or less on the same level...3 mio USD in Australia more or less = 50 mio in USA/Canada

It was decided, not arbitrarily (though I don't know how), that the DOM market is around ten times the size of the AUS market, so you'd times whatever gross by ten to get the equivalent DOM gross.

Some of you guys give the impression it was just yesterday Hollywood discovered foreign markets. ;)If a Hollywood mega-budget tentpole flick makes 30/70 domestic/overseas this is really nothing special and doesn't mean it did "great" overseas or whatsover.
