Just did a Pulse 15 minute watch

Love, Simon: 66 tickets

Tomb Raider: 88 tickets

I Can Only Imagine: 262 tickets

ICOI really might be the top opener...I can feel it...I'm not sure if it's unbelievable, or if slambros has been finally heard by moviegoers or someone else:)...

PS - Awesome that both premiers seem higher than an unneeded remake so far...

PPS - MT.com right now...it's even back before the others have ever joined...

25.1% Black Panther

19.4% Wrinkle in Time, A

6.2% Game Night

6.2% I Can Only Imagine

5.8% Strangers: Prey at Night, The

2nd local (Regal) is up...it did not rebook the 4th film, so they are only getting 3 of the new films this week.  Here's the set...PS - It also seems they changed to Hurricane Heist from Gringo b/c I swear Gringo was the booked one last night, but this is the final set, so I guess they changed their mind twice this week...

NEW

Wrinkle in Time (2 - 10 showings - 2 3d, 8 2d)

Strangers Prey At Night (1 - 5 showings)

Hurricane Heist (1 - 5 showings)

RETURNING

Black Panther (2 - 6 3d, 6 2d)

Red Sparrow (1)

Game Night (1)

Peter Rabbit (1)

The Greatest Showman (1)

Paddington (.75)

The Shape of Water (.75)

Early Man (.25 - 1st show in TSOW screen)

Annihilation (.25 - last show on Paddington screen)

GONE

Death Wish (damn - 1 week - that was fast!), 50 Shades, 15:17 to Paris, Jumanji

PS - I wasn't crazy - they are still preselling Thursday night Gringo seats (and WiT) - no idea if they just haven't noticed or I could see another change to this schedule, b/c it seems like a screw up for now:)...I could see them tossing both showings to WiT today b/c I don't know where they'd fit Gringo if they did keep it b/c they actually fully booked all 12 screens this time...

EDIT Take 2:  Okay, Gringo is back and Hurricane Heist is gone:)...I gotta wonder how the conversation went at the local this morning when they realized they had one movie selling on Fandango for Thursday and a different one for Friday...now it's all the same and it's GRINGO:)...

2nd local (Regal) - No late minute ICOI or any last minute add - it's just going with Tomb Raider and Love Simon and it's still a bloodbath...we'll see if they missed on booking, but here's their set...

NEW

Tomb Raider (2 - 9 showings - 2 3d/ 7 2d - biggest and average)

Love Simon (1 - 5 showings - smallest)

Returning

AWIT (2)

Strangers Prety at Night (1)

Black Panther (3)

Red Sparrow (1)

Peter Rabbit (.8)

Gringo (.2 - last showing on PR screen) - Didn't take long - they might be regretting which movie they booked last week:)

Game Night (.8)

Death Wish (.2 - 1st showing on Game Night screen)

GONE

The Greatest Showman, Paddington, The Shape of Water, Early Man, Annihilation

Will I Can Only Imagine out-gross Gods not dead 2?

Probably unless it's super frontloaded.

btw, GND3 tickets have been up for a week, and my theater still hasn't sold anything. It's going to flop coming after ICOI and Paul (which may be hurt by ICOI too)

I Can Only Imagine is getting two screens at a decent amount of theaters in the Orlando area, and Disney Springs is putting it in one of their biggest auditoriums :jeb!: Part of me thinks this is just a course correction for the group buyouts because the extra shows for the weekend at my theater have sold next to nothing so far, but we'll see.

Out of like but thank you for your service.

It looks like Love, Simon will be a surprise hit.

MT.com - of new releases, still only ICOI has appeared...it has also been slowly moving up all day...will it topple AWiT for the 2nd spot by tomorrow morning?  We'll see.  I think it will be a very presale heavy movie, so every presale will matter for its OW (although could we be looking at a mini-Wonder, but one that brings some dads instead of overwhelmingly moms - time will tell, but, it's gonna need to be Wonder-good...I will say the song is good and the "dad redemption story" plot isn't onscreen right now, so it's got an opening if it can find its audience:)...

24.7% Black Panther

18.9% Wrinkle in Time, A

8.1% I Can Only Imagine

5.9% Game Night

5.5% Strangers: Prey at Night, The

Love, Simon is staying consistent, which is fine but it will need to pick up.

Tomb Raider is starting to get momentum...could be to late though.

ICOI is dropping off. I am not surprised by this.

Yeah, all these extra screens and shows are going to be a waste after a day or two. It's going to be frontloaded as hell unless church groups keep rallying it next weekend.

Notice that the ONLY film from the last ten years is Avatar, and there's only 2 films in the last 20 years on there (Avatar and 6th Sense)

Well BP is about to join that list of fives, and likely make it to the sixes also. This is just outrageous to think how phenomenal BP really is. Just when you think its performance amazes me, BAMMMM it goes and surprises yet again.
