Welcome to the Starlight Promenade Hotel in Seattle, Washington. The city's premiere hotel for major conventions and events, led by an award winning staff team. Amy and Gavin appear at the hotel Concierge desk, while Lena, an aspiring writer of increasingly disturbing stories, works in housekeeping. We watch the CEO of Starlight Hotels, Vincent Haverford, as she welcomes guests to their stay through a video message in the lobby. Amy and Gavin banter about the stupidity of the video, as they begin to coordinate details in planning two major conventions arriving this weekend: The first would be for "Seattle Scales and Tails," a major convention for fans of anthropomorphic animals in Northwest USA. We then have the Legion of the Third, a seemingly neo-nazi organization (but was still insisted on by Haverford, oddly enough) that may have dubious intentions for coming to this convention. We see two reps from each convention come, Starley, a purple wolf, and Gideon, wearing a weird but nice suit, as they get into a humorous debate on travel logistics. Gavin, simply annoyed, gives them the info to set up their own respective sign-in booths, telling them not to kill one another during their time.

The Friday afternoon goes by, and several furries and neo-nazis continue to arrive, as Amy and Gavin tell themselves how much alcohol they'll need to get through this weekend. Lena comes down, and she claims to have seen something truly horrible. They must stay on full alert this weekend. Amy is confused, saying how these guys are weird, but they're just here to have a fun weekend. They'll get a bonus if all goes well, and it'll make for fun stories at Happy Hour. The staff circles around each convention to make sure everything goes okay. They each have their own eccentric activities, but everything seems to go well for Friday night. Saturday comes, and still, nothing bad goes down. However, the two conventions are talking about one another, and someone on the Neo side, Tommy, suggests a prank on the furries. Tommy sneaks into the hotel kitchen and paints swatstikas in ketchup on some of the entrees for the furry convention. They see it and become deeply confused and uncomfortable, while other neo-nazis storm in and shoot paintballs at some of them, ruining their costumes and humiliating them. The furry convention seems to be ruined at the expense of a joke, while the neo-nazis sit and laugh at their "hurt feewings". The clock strikes 9pm, and the furries, led by Starley and her best friends, Freddie, a porcupine and Scales, a dragon, plot revenge.

We see Tommy go inside a bathroom to wash up, all while Freddiy sneaks up behind him in a stall and stabs him repeatedly in an incredibly violent fashion. Tommy drops to the floor dead while Freddie shrugs it off. The neo-nazi convention finds out, and we then see each convention crowd out of their respective halls and face one another in a hilariously twisted mexican stand off. Amy, Gavin, and Lena are all assigned night duty, and are shocked when the occurrence takes place. Gavin suggests staying out of it until absolutely necessary However, we find out that a gun show occured at the hotel recently, and a few supplies were left over. In a sequence mimicking the hunger games, the neo nazis run for the runs and begin to fire. After a scene of somewhat violent carnage with most parties fleeing, the hotel has become a literal battle royale. Amy, Gavin, and Lena have no choice but to get involved. Any word of this breaks out, and it could be a PR disaster.

After the carnage spreads across the hotel, all while the staff tries to stay alive, other guests take notice and call the police. Amy soon realizes that the neo-nazis are in Seattle to shut down a peaceful rally for African American rights and begin plans for creating a new world order, and she finds herself in the company of Starley, Freddy, and Scales. Scales had been shot, giving an inspirational speech about standing up to justice to Amy, all while dying in her arms. After a moment of bonding, Amy decides to fight with them, persuading Gavin and Lena to join forces and potentially save the world. After more bloody carnage, including Home-Alone style kills, battles in hotel rooms and elevators (which crushes one person to death), they realize that Haverford okay-d the Neo-Nazi convention because he was one of them. This in in addition to a man named George Benson's support (A popular neo-nazi blogger akin to Alex Jones). After Amy and Haverford get into a fight in the hotel pool, Gavin helps her out as things look bleak, and Lena throws in a fly zapper to the pool, inexplicably captured. It zaps Haverford and Benson to death.

The next morning, everyone goes home, as press begins to circle around the hotel. It's unclear what exactly happened, but Amy assures them that the situation is under control. Suddenly, youth revolutionaries become far more interested in the hotel, and they are happy to accomodate.

However others believe that this is the work of a serial killer or a supernatural demon. The narrator goes on and says that only college males who are brown haired and athletic have drowned. The narrator informs the viewers that two NYC detectives came to the city to investigate and they discovered that smiley faces were on the rocks by the victims. Terror swept the city as many feared a serial killer or demon was lurking the river banks however as with most rumors and speculations it quickly disappeared. Life returned to normal, the drinking and partying resumed, and the 20+ victims were forgotten and become mere folklore. Until now…

We are introduced to Trevor’s family and friends. We learn more about his relationship with Jessica and the film moves through his summer fun. We learn that Trevor is going to play football for University of Wisconsin: La Crosse and is hoping to become a doctor. Trevor decides to leave early because he has a test on Monday and wants to study a little. He leaves and begins to walk down the street to the campus. Suddenly, he becomes paranoid and begins to running panting. He tries to call on his cell phone but it is dead. He runs quickly and looks several times behind him. Suddenly he falls to the ground and whirls around. He lifts up his hands to block an attack. The camera moves the river and we see Trevor in the water and the water is bloody. After one month of nothing, the police finally find Trevor’s body, which is beginning to decompose. The funeral happens and the family grieves. The death shakes the family, friends, and the school. The police determine that Trevor accidently fell into the river drunk and drowned. Everybody accepts this except Jessica who believes that there is more to Trevor’s death.

Four months after Trevor’s death, Jessica visits with the family. After talking about college and other stuff, she tells the family her hypothesis about Trevor’s death. She says that Trevor wasn’t drunk enough or stupid enough to wander into the river. She also says that there are colleges and bars across the nation and none have such rates of drunk drownings as La Crosse. She says that she believes somebody murdered Trevor and the other students who were believed to have drowned. She asks them if they want to help her discover the truth behind Trevor’s death. The family at first refuses but after several days of Jessica persuading, Trevor’s dad gets onboard with Jessica. Trevor’s two roommates decide to help Jessica too. They gather information on past victims and discover the similarities. Trevor was athletic, dark haired, and smart. On a rock were Trevor entered the water they find a red smiley face with horns and the words “Evil Happy Face Men” written next to it. With their evidence they go to the police. The police reject it and quickly dismiss it. Jessica is upset and frustrated. They renew their search for several weeks but without success. Suddenly one night, Jessica is visited by Trevor’s spirit. Trevor says that somebody close harmed him and his soul can’t rest until the murderer is brought to justice. Jessica asks who the murderer is. Trevor says, “Go as a dummy…go as a dummy…go as a dummy” and then disappears. Jessica ponders over the words. She tells the other about what happened. Trevor’s dad says that what Trevor meant is that one of them has to go to the bars as an athletic college student to lure the killer. Trevor’s dad is too old and Jackson and Teddy gave up on the search a few days ago. Jessica volunteers. She dresses as a boy and goes into the bars. She drinks only a few drinks and acts drunk. She decides to leave the bar and head back to the hotel. On the way she sees two men following her. She texts Trevor’s dad to be ready to intervene and call the police if she is attacked. Trevor’s dad is seen watching a short distance away from a car. One man pulls out a bat and both men walk quickly toward her. Jessica begins to run. The men chase her. She pulls out her phone but it falls. She doesn’t have time to grab it because the two men are coming up too fast. She screams and runs in panic. She is tripped by one of the men and knocked out with the bat. She wakes up to find herself being held under the water. She screams and struggles. She suddenly sees Trevor’s ghost under the water and the ghosts of the other who have died. The suddenly rush at the attackers and throw them off of Jessica. Jessica pulls herself out of the water. The ghosts vanish. The sound of sirens fills the air. Jessica knows that it is finish. The two men gets up slowly and try to escape but are tackled by the police. The two men are revealed to be Teddy and Jackson. Teddy and Jackson reveal that killing college boys has been a sick hobby for both families. Just to be clear, does the "To Be Continued..." just mean you're setting up a sequel and this film is complete, or that you're not done writing this one yet?

I'm still working on it and will get it done before the deadline. Not finished yet.

Rollercoaster

Studio: Cookie Pictures

Genre: Suspense/Thriller

Director: Luke Scott

Producers: Sebastian Peters, Ridley Scott, Micheal Shaefer, Mark Huffam

Budget: $60 million

Release Date: June 23rd

Theater Count: 3,419

MPAA Rating: R

Running Time: 112 minutes (1 hour, 52 minutes)

Cast: Edward Norton, Naomi Harris, Robert Redford, Dave Bautista

Plot synopsis: A remake of the 1977 suspense thriller "Rollercoaster".

Plot:

We open at the fictional amusement park Shoreside Park, where we see riders boarding the wooden coaster "Crystal Rocket". Unbeknownst to them a bomb has been planted along the track of the rollercoaster. Minutes earlier, a park employee receives a text from an unknown number warning them about the bomb. The employee rushes over to his colleagues to stop the rollercoaster since there's a block brake just before where the bomb's been planted. The successfully manage to stop the train before it enters the block and the bomb detonates without killing anyone but causing significant damage to the track. The park is evacuated and federal investigators are brought in along with safety inspector David Calder (Norton), who initially cleared the ride. The feds tell him they're investigating it as an act of terrorism, and a witness informs them that they saw an unauthorized individual near the coaster track before the explosion went off.

Shoreside Park is closed off as the investigation continues. They quickly rule out religious or politically motivated terrorism since no one has come forward to claim responsibility. Calder is brought in to a meeting between the feds, the family owning the park and the CEO of FunFair Enterprises Rock Dallas (Redford) who had announced interest in purchasing the park from the financially struggling family and integrate it into his own chain of amusement parks. The family declined to sell the park as they had owned the park since the late 1800s and fear that FunFair is going to strip it of it's unique charm to turn it into another one of their "corporate assembly line" ventures. A particularly brash family member even accuses Dallas of conspiracy since the bombing will sink the park's reputation and force the family to sell it to FunFair. Dallas rejects the claim as ludicrous. The feds promise the family that they will do everything to find the culprit.

Calder returns to his day job and is contracted to inspect several attractions at the major park Adventure Dominion, which is one of many parks owned by FunFair. While inspecting a haunted house dark ride he gets a text from another unknown number, telling him that a bomb has been planted on one of the rides in the park. He gets a follow-up text saying that if he tells anyone, the bomb will go off immediately, inviting him to play a game where he himself has to find the bomb before it goes off. He is given a clue as to which one of the rides it is: "I make you scream as much as I make you laugh, through dawns and dips leading into a bath". Calder comes to the conclusion that the bomb has been planted at the Silver Arrow Log Flume and he hurries over to stop it. He tells a ride operator to stop the ride as there's a bomb planted on it, but that turns out to be a mistake as he gets another text telling him he didn't play by the rules (i.e not telling anyone) and the bomb goes off killing a tourist group on one of the logs and flooding the surrounding area.

Calder is brought into custody and made suspect of the bombing. He clears himself by showing them the texts he received and the feds seize his phone so they can find out who sent the texts. A raging Dallas storms in and blames Calder for everything since now being the second terrorist attack in a week has made the public fearful of amusement parks, the parks in his chain in particular. Calder points out that "people fucking died!", but that doesn't seem to be Dallas' top concern. A new message is sent to Calder's phone and the feds try and trace it. The message is directed at Dallas: pull out of purchasing Shoreside or more bombs will go off. Dallas dismisses the threat as hodgepodge but orders security to tighten considerably in his parks regardless.

Back home, Calder sees that his home has been broken into. The culprit has already left, but he sees that his desk has been trashed. Only one thing remains missing though: a blueprint of an as-of-yet under construction rollercoaster named "Blue Lightning" at Spark Mountain, a park owned by Birch Amusements. Calder contacts the feds about the break in and gets in touch with Jacinda Birch (Harris), the newly appointed CEO of Birch Amusements. Birch had just inherited the company from her late father and hoped to expand the chain and become a major competitor to FunFair. Birch shows Calder around the construction site of Blue Lightning, which is set to open within a month, and asks Calder if they should raise security in anticipation of the coaster's opening but since Calder nor anyone else has received any threats he says he's unsure of what they should do. Since the future of Birch Amusements hang on the success of Blue Lightning, billed as "The Greatest Launch Coaster in America", she takes no risks.

The investigation continues into the Shoreside and Adventure Dominion bombings while Calder sits in his home and gets a call from an unknown caller. He answers and a manipulated voice tells him that the "Blue Lightning will fall" before hanging up. He shows the recording to Birch and the authorities who tell Birch to stall the opening of Blue Lightning until they catch the culprit. Birch, in contradiction to her stance earlier, refuses to call off the ride's opening, reiterating that a lot hangs on its success. Calder just wonders why the bomber would send threats to a rival to FunFair who has no stakes in the Shoreside purchase. Calder meets up with the owners of Shoreside for a chat and he hears from them that Dallas is going to visit Adventure Dominion to assure the public that his rides are safe. Suddenly the family receives a text saying "FunFair will fold today". Calder deduces that the bomber is going to strike again during Dallas' visit and he asks the family if he can use one of their cell phones to call the authorities (since the feds still possess his) as we cut to Dallas holding a press conference in front of "Iron Vengeance" a steel looping coaster at Adventure Dominion where he assures the public that there's nothing to worry about regarding the bomber or Iron Vengeance (which has had safety issues before as pointed out by Calder) and to prove it he himself will ride it. We see a cloaked figure going backstage, snapping the neck of a maintenance worker and stealing his clothes. The man tells the operators that he only has to inspect a small section of Iron Vengeance before they send the train with Dallas out. He walks over to a high-speed section of the ride and tinkers with the bolts before giving the operators the go-ahead. Calder drives to the park and tries to stop Dallas from going on the ride but he is dismissed. Calder tries to warn the operators but he is tackled by security guards. The train with Dallas' on it goes through most of the ride without any problems but when it enters the high-speed section the loosened bolts detach and the track bends, causing the train to derail and Calder and the watching crowd are forced to watch as Dallas falls to his death.

With Dallas's demise all of FunFair's parks are shut down for investigation and Calder receives word that he's been stripped of his inspector license while the investigation continues. He goes back to talk with Birch and she reveals to him that Birch Amusements have also expressed interest in buying Shoreside Park but hasn't made that public, having negotiated with the Shoreside family in secret without the authorities or Dallas's knowledge. Calder deduces that the culprit is someone with close relations to the Shoreside family and he sets up another meeting with the family. The family at first denies that they had any contact with Birch, which confuses Calder, but now pissed off he forces them to squirt out the truth. The son in the family snaps and reveals, to everyone's shock, that the Shoreside bombing was staged by the family themselves as an insurance scam, but they don't know who was responsible for the attacks on FunFair and Birch. The family is taken into custody while the investigation continues.

Blue Lightning is set to open the following day and federal agents disguised as park maintenance men find a bomb attached to the tracks. They safely remove the bomb and inform Birch and Calder. Calder asks Birch if he can be present during the ride's opening, and she grants him backstage access. The next day the opening of Blue Lightning sees a large attendance, but the coaster is heavily supervised by federal agents which leave guests uneasy. Calder is given a radio to communicate with and watches the coaster make several laps without any issues, until he receives a new message telling him that if Calder doesn't solve the mystery Blue Lightning will fall within the hour, and if Calder tells anyone it will fall immediately, emphasizing that he hopes Calder doesn't "break the rules" this time. Panicking, Calder scouts the ride but doesn't find anything seemed to be out of order. He sees a maintenance worker entering the house storing the coaster's launch mechanisms and figures out that the plotter is going to tamper with the launch mechanisms. He sees that the man has locked the door behind him and he tries to force himself in before grabbing a gun and shooting the lock. He sees the maintenance worker messing with the launch hydraulics and he tackles the guy, who turns out to be a fairly big and muscular person (Bautista). The culprit fends off Calder who tries to shoot the guy but finds he's out of bullets. The man escapes and tries to climb his way out but is spotted by the feds who warns him not to cross onto the coaster track. The man realizes too late what he's done and he's hit by a rushing coaster train and killed immediately.

The man is identified as Mr. Hanks, an associate of the Shoreside family, and the film's final reveal is that Hanks was contracted by the Shoreside family to plot attacks against both FunFair and Birch Amusements, but as Shoreside Park started to struggle financially he aided them in the Shoreside bombing so they can take out insurance money. With this knowledge the Shoreside family are sentenced to prison for conspiracy to murder and insurance fraud and Calder is hired full-time by Birch Amusements as Blue Lightning turns out to be a huge success of the company, and Birch offers to extend help to Dallas' family so they can get FunFair back on it's feet.

Move Computer Love to May 26th and replace the director with David Fincher. Something else might go on the December 15th date, though.

Done. Just to confirm, you haven't actually made a post for it yet I've missed somehow, right?
