It's the anthem songs that the kids movies and commercials go for; which Fall Out Boy and Imagine Dragons have quite a few of. They don't really go for the moodier acts like Sufjan Stevens (whose songs are seemingly used very well in CMBYN) or synth-revival like CHVRCHES or Timecop1983.

is it a hot take for me to say i didn't think they were at all? found them very out of place since the rest of the music in that flick is classical but they throw sufjan in there a couple times at pretty random points. kinda threw me off.
