Dementeleus
Not to take anything away from Cooper's performance, but I don't really buy the mental health angle helping him, as that's basically abandoned halfway through the movie. baumer
Not to take anything away from Cooper's performance, but I don't really buy the mental health angle helping him, as that's basically abandoned halfway through the movie. But it doesn't have to. His performance is good enough and strong enough without any kind of angles. I think he nailes his character brilliantly. Not once did I feel like I was watching Bradley Cooper, and that is the sign of a strong performance. But can you tell me when the last time someone won for playing a real person? I'm asking cause I don't know. I know Firth for the Kings Speech is one, but before that?... MovieMan89
Playing a real person is the most surefire way to win these days. Far harder to win playing a fictional character.
