I do think Prometheus was deflated a little bit this weekend due to it being the end of the Olympic with the closing ceremony and all that jazz. Hopefully it holds very well as a result. IndustriousAngel Posted August 22, 2012 Share Posted August 22, 2012 I thought it could do better here but after finally seeing it it's obvious that it won't have any spectacular legs ... it's just too hardcore-SF; some horror fans showed up for the opening weekend but were bound to be disappointed. There simply is no broad appeal outside the SF demo: little horror, no romance, no comedy. And I guess that's the case for most markets.
