I’ve tried to watch anime and did like Spirited Away.  But there’s always something about the style especially the mouth movements that just pulls me out

I agree with this.  With the exception of the few really standout gems (like Spirited Away or Grave of Fireflies) I just have a hard time watching that animated style.

Same with Stopmotion, it’s just a little inhuman enough to throw me off

Is it because they're not animated in English? The more you limit yourself the less you experience, I know some people won't watch anything with subtitles or black and white, they're missing out on some serious material.

No I'll watch subtitles or black and white.   I'm not sure what animated in English exactly means.  It's just the style of the animation takes me out.

I wasn't trying to assume things about you, I was just giving examples.

Their lips are animated to the Japanese words then it's dubbed into English.

The style of animation is nothing you can't get used to in 1, 2 or even 3 films, it seems too trivial as a reason to block yourself from content.
