Deadline had JW2 weekend at $31.3M :jeb!:

That's from yesterday.  These are updated numbers.

Early predictions for next weekend that will certainly change as the week goes by if I come back here at all before Friday:

Hotel Transylvania 3 - 32M

Skyscraper - 25M

I'm stubborn.  I still have faith in a 45-50 mill opening for Skyscraper.

I really don't feel it. Buzz has been very muted and it's opening in between a lot of more exciting options. Kinda reminds me of White House Down tbh. An opening similar to Rampage is probably the best case scenario.

Well, who knows.  I think it looks too good to be a Rampage type opening.

With you 100% on this. I can buy high-30s for HT3, but 32M would be a massive disappointment when tracking is 40-45M

It's going sub-100M or just barely over.  After seeing it, I doubt families are gonna eat this up.  It's standard kids fare that's entertaining for an hour and a half but you forget after leaving the theater.  This would normally be just fine, but Incredibles 2 is still out, Teen Titans Go is in 2 weeks, and Christopher Robin is the week after that.  No one will care enough.

Oh yeah, legs are going to be horrible. It'll probably drop 40-45% in its second weekend, but Teen Titans and Christopher Robin will cause two 50%+ drops in a row.

Sorry to Bother You is the real wildcard next weekend. There's enough room in the market for it to hit 2k theaters, but there will be no rural appeal whatsoever. Given that it still has major markets to expand to next week, I'll go with 7-8M.

You guys are acting like if Teen Titans is gonna open well at all. It will be lucky to pull a 15M OW IMO.
