And i just read somewhere that ATW had a 70m budget. Good Lord! What the heck?

Wow the Lorax in its 2nd weekend is on track of beating John Carter's debut? I'm very surprised. John Carter looks like it could be a fun big action popcorn movie, I'll probably end up seeing it. The budget is huge but you can see the money on the screen it looks spectacular, but I think it needed a star, someone known to give it some credibilty. Anyways it probably will do most of its money from overseas markets and break even after dvd/bluray. But in the USA it's not a good start.
