Jonwo
I imagine MM will do okay but it looks terrible, I wouldn't surprised if Titanic overtakes it Thursday-Sunday.
Heretic
Titanic will destroy Mirror Mirror.
Jonwo
I think Titanic will do £3-4m four days which for a rerelease is very good, think The Lion King set the standard as it did £2.7m OW and £10m total which is great considering it faced Johnny English. SchumacherFTW
Yesterday. it's doing ok at my cinema. nothing special. played quite well to families this afternoon. What sort of schedule are you running this weekend? Neither of my locals booked we bought a zoo, and the odeon didn't book 21 Jump Street either. PhilipJ2001
We have We Bought A Zoo sharing with War Horse and The Woman In Black and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel sharing with The Artist and The Muppets.we do very well with films for older folks. Marigold Hotel and War Horse have both been amazing here.
SchumacherFTW
That's a very interesting schedule. Around me War Horse ended it's run about a month ago, to still be going at a two screen is mightily impressive. What sort of sales does it do at the moment?? PhilipJ2001
don't really want to go into any figures on a public forum, but suffice to say we wouldn't still be showing it if it wasn't worth it!this will be the last weekend for it though, it dropped off a lot today compared with last saturday.plus we have the hunger games starting on thursday which will be showing all day. Jonwo
I'm guessing The Muppets will be replaced by The Pirates! at your cinema when it comes out?21 Jump Street was very funny but I have a feeling The Devil Inside will have pulled in more audience. John Marston
awful for John Carter 21 Jump Street deserved more
Heretic
The devil Inside will plummet next week. Solid for 21 Jump Street, it should be able to hold well.John Carter...let's just not go there. :lol:First big drop for WIB, but it's £20m+ gross is incredibly impressive. Will end around £22m.Marigold Hotel will get to £15m with ease.
Heretic
The Hunger Games...I think it'll do very well...should destroy Twilights opening; only £2.5m. It should be able to gross at least £5m ($8m), maybe as high as £7m ($11m), but I don't see it being much more than that. Should hopefully have good legs for £20m+ ($32m). CJohn
I am expecting big things for THG in the UK.
Jonwo
I can't believe WBAZ beat Contraband, it was barely advertised. 21 Jump Street I think will hold well against Hunger Games. Muppets will likely ends its run on £16m. TWIB is currently the highest grossng film of the year but it'll likely be beaten but for a low budget British film, its very good result. Twilight didn't take off until New Moon but the first film was fairly successful. I expect THG won't start doing huge numbers until Catching Fire, I'm expecting a £4-5m including previews.
