Heretic
Half term is bigger than the Summer? Maybe Olympics is affecting this decision of moving it to October?Probably. It's quite a crowded summer for animation. The Lorax, Ice Age, Brave. Then there's the olympics and the euro. It'll do much better in the half-term. Family films always do very well. Jonwo
Madagascar should do well, there's only two other family films opening before it, Frankenweenie and Hotel Transylvania. All three will benefit from Half-term but Skyfall will be top dog on the 26th October.
Heretic
Skyfall is going to be an absolute monster. James Bond is debateably the next biggest franchise after Potter and LOTR. It should be able to make the top 3 of the year, along with The Hobbit and probably TDKR.Casino Royale made £13.4m in it's opening and £55.3m total, and Quantum of Solace made £15.4m and £51m, respectively. If this is of the same standard as Casino Royale, it could beat both. Edited April 13, 2012 by Heretic
pinocchio
Biggest Bond lovers on this planet are probably the Swiss, followed by the Brits.Something like Potter 1 sold 1 mio tickets here, Casino Royale sold 850'000.

Heretic
Universal’s action sci-fi commandeers top spot with an estimated $6.1m (£3.9m) haul. Bolstered by $1.5m (£947,085) from two days of previews, Battleship has debuted top of the UK box office. Universal’s blockbuster, based on the classic Hasbro strategy game, took an estimated $6.1m (£3.9m) from its 496 sites at a decent average of $12,298 (£7,765), beating the debuts of recent blockbusters Wrath Of The Titans and John Carter. However, its opening is less than half the debut ofTransformers which grossed $13.8m (£8.7m) from fewer sites (456) in July 2007. Dropping a place to second, but falling just 35% in its second week, was Fox’s 3D re-release of Titanic. James Cameron’s epic sailed its way to a further $2.9m (£1.8m) to stand at an impressive $12.8m (£8.1m) after ten days in play. Collectively, Titanic is now the second biggest film of all time at the UK box office, meaning Cameron has a one-two on the all-time list alongside Avatar’s extraordinary $148.9m (£94m). Lionsgate’s horror The Cabin In The Woods enjoyed an excellent debut as it charted third on $2.5m (£1.6m). The opening continues the strong streak for horrors in the UK this year following the performances of The Woman In Black and The Devil Inside. Narrowly behind in fourth after a solid holdover in its third week with just a 27% fall was Sony’s The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists! Aardman’s latest animation added $2.5m (£1.6m) to its bounty and now stands at $20.7m (£13.0m). Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games rounded off this week’s top five. The adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel has now amassed $30.8m (£19.4m) after a $2.4m (£1.5m) weekend and is the second best performer at the UK box office this year, behind The Woman In Black. Fantastic for THG. Weekdays must have been huge. It will probably be ending around $35-37m which is excellent for a franchise starter. Catching Fire will do at the very least $50m. The Pirates! also had a huge boost from the easter holidays. Will likely reach $25m. Solid for Battleship, but nothing special. Great running total for Titanic and a strong opening for CITW. Heretic
The Dictator will do well here, Borat and even Bruno were hits.Remember, Cohen is from the Uk. This is where he started.Borat was HUGE here. $46m. Bruno was pretty big too with $25m.The Dictator looks absolutely hilarious, and a little more approachable than Bruno, so $30m is a possibility. Heretic
Looks like 21 Jump Street could just about make it to £10m.Next week will be the calm before the storm. Battleship should remain number 1, and then The Avengers will completely slaughter it the week after.

The Dark Alfred
It didn't flop, but it's a poor start for Battleship, will probably miss £10m. Decent for Cabin.
