Twisters £565k

Seems low :(

Yeah it was fairly quiet in my IMAX show last night, hopefully it picks up at the weekend because it deserves to do well, it’s a fun film. Hopefully it manages to stick around a bit and doesn’t get annihilated by Deadpool next week.

That does seem pretty low.

Do you have any updates on if the films recovered after the harsher drops on Sunday? Like Longlegs?

Longlegs

Monday £336k

Tuesday £350k

Wednesday £300k

£2.36m to date

So yes, it has recovered. Sunday was the worst day by far for it

Excellent, thank you very much.

Could be heading for a great hold this weekend then.

Thursday

1. DM4 £807k

2. Present Laughter £462k

3. Twisters £440k

4. Longlegs £285k

5. IO2 £266k

Twister took £600k from one Thursday evening preview in 1996 so looks like Twisters is going to open similar to Twister £3.1m

@UKBoxOffice what was Inside Out 2's first Thursday so we can compare to DM4 first Thursday and potential weekend? Thanks

Check back on the thread and you could find out yourself :) £780k

I don't think DM4 will have such a good weekend hold as Inside Out, but midweek days will probably be higher than this week as the school holidays are starting everywhere.

Really good weather as well which will be hurting all films

Cinema counts:

Twisters 675

Thelma 195

Bad Newz 124

Twister opened with £3m in 1996 and grossed £15m, £29.3m adjusted.

still every chance Twisters comes close to equalling what the first one did in 1996 over here.

I’m sure ID4 made something like £35 million that same summer, which just goes to show how much bigger Twister was domestically as it wasn’t far behind ID4’s total.

Saturday

1. DM4 £2.25m (-44%)

2. Twisters £1.38m

3. IO2 £713k (-35%)

4. Longlegs £541k (-8%)

5. AQT £204k (-52%)

The calm before the storm, how are Deadpool 3 presales going as unlike in the US rarely any presales BO released for the UK. Looked at key sites like Vue Westfield, Manchester, Odeon/Cineworld Leicester Square and BFI IMAX and suprised no sellouts yet with Manchester IMAX 8.15pm Thurs/Fri closest but then standard shows have far from being a quarter full. Was originally looking at £20m+ 4 day opening (similar to Doctor Strange 2) but now closer to the first two films about £15m with about 50% from IMAX/PLF/3D/4X?

Great jump for Twisters. £4 million 5 day opening?

Studio are estimating $5.5m which converts to roughly £4.2-3m so it should be good for that.

I think it will be fine here, internal legs have already shown signs of recovery.
