PhilipJ2001
it's actually fine for the first day of the holidays. if it does that or more every day of the half term (which it will) i doubt if paramount will be disappointed.skyfall was busier today for the afternoon shows at my cinema. the evening will be the same though as you can't really improve on sold out
Jonwo
Its been out two weeks with the previews so £700,000 is pretty good especially for a Friday where kids would be in school.

The Dark Alfred
We have 6 sellouts for Sunday already. Saturday is even bigger than Friday, which ended up with £6.3m. I expect Saturday to be over £7m. Based on my cinema I'd say £7.4m, £13.7m for the 2-day.

Heretic
Weirdly, pre-sales for tomorrow's afternoon shows are stronger than todays at my cinema. I expect a very small drop, due to less late night business.

PhilipJ2001
Looking at prebookings we are expecting a slight increase tomorrow (Sunday) because the 2 second shows will sell out again but the first show is looking stronger

Wow. Obviously this won't be representative of the whole country.I do think the Sunday could be on par or a tad higher than Friday, though. JCS
I do think the Sunday could be on par or a tad higher than Friday, though. But remember Sunday evening/night shows will be a lot quieter and more subdued than Friday/Sunday nights. So if daytime is stronger, the evening and night will hold grosses back a bit.But still Sunday should get £6M+ hopefully! I think night time shows will still be very busy however. The 20:00 showing at my cinema tomorrow is nearly sold out already.
