RichWS
Your dad seems hard to please. That's why I get really excited when he tells me he likes something (ex: the Martian). If there's one guaranteed movie every dad will enjoy this year, it's that one.

Spidey Freak
So as that trailer doesn't quite fit the description of the book folks here have given, I assume they zombied the film up several notches. Not gonna lie though, still looks fascinating.
Blur
I really liked the book. I'm a Jane Austen fan as well. This trailer looks very promising.
grim22
I'm wondering who the target audience is for this movie? My guess is the people who will like "The Last Witch Hunter". Horror fans won't flock to this because the romantic plot will take up a lot of the runtime, and romance fans will hate the horror and zombie aspects. Maybe Warm Bodies numbers at best. grim22
Warm Bodies numbers would be fantastic, IMO. I am expecting a mega flop. They should move this to Feb 12, will get some Valentine's Day business over OW at the very least.
Yandereprime101189
I think they'll focus more on the zombie aspects in the film, at least more than the original book did. It looks that way, then again, trailers often lie.

The US got a more zombied up trailer than the UK which really emphasize the Austen connection

Spidey Freak
It depends which marketing is more accurate. The US got a more zombied up trailer than the UK which really emphasize the Austen connection I watched that trailer and thought the movie would be faithful to what people described the book as being. But then the US trailer promised way more zombie/action sequences than I would have expected. Also, who is Lena Headey playing? No one has ever mentioned an eyepatch wearing anti-heroine/antagonist appearing in the book.

Last Man Standing
If there's any concept that can benefit from a healthy dose of camp it's this one, no idea why they're playing this straight. Could've been pretty fun as Hansel&Gretel type schlock.
