Suppose it would make some sense. But if so, I still think it was mishandled. They could have sorted a 30 second video of Affleck saying he's excited to be back and tack that on Twitter after Fandome or something. Yes, everything is prw-recorded, but that's the thing - he doesn't have to travel to SanDiego or some such nonsense. He can do a short video from his home gym or something.

 

What's disappointing is not just the fact that they spoiled the Affleck news but also the fact that the Keaton casting is confirmed, but also overstepped in the larger Battfleck news. I dunno, think they could have found a better way to do this.

I think even in that regard, the superhero movie "genre" has some gems, so it might be difficult to win that crown. 

 

As I said a while back... Gimme Gal Gadot throwing Amber Herd's severed head at Jason Momoa and ya, I'm all in on that assessment.

The reason Aquaman worked is because they just went for it. Don't hold back to try to make it more "grounded", go full fantastical. One shot, don't ruin it with restraint.

 

That said, I doubt we get this scene though

Yep, 100%. Same as the Fast & Furious movies. Everything AND the kitchen sink approach, and be proud of it.

I'm assuming that all of these are cameos. I would really like to see Thomas Wayne's Batman just to honor the fact that this is inspired by Flashpoint but judging by the number of other Batmans in this, they better not.

 

They already confirmed that there is no war between Amazons vs Atlanteans but both Gal and Momoa could have another cameo not necessarily about this. Cheering for Cavill too.

One of my favourite things about Aquaman is that James Wan knew that Pitbull's cover of Africa was pretty stupid but went "fuck it" and inserted it into the movie anyways because he thought it would be fun.

 

I really think we really need more ridiculous superhero movies like Aquaman and I think this could be a contender.

I have to think Cavill is coming back too. He always seemed up for it and with everything happening now with the DC movies and the seeming acceptance of a "fuck it, we can do everything and just say it's the multiverse" approach, I think the material for him can be found. And I think WB will be on-board with him even if they might also be looking for a replacement just in case

(again, multiverse).
