GKIDS isn't releasing it theatrically until January. Edited November 10, 2021 by cookie

cookie
Top 6 right now imo: Luca Encanto Flee Belle Mitchells vs. the Machines Summit of the Gods Raya has an outside chance but I don't think Disney will go for it over their other candidates

cannastop
Yeah I don't really have doubt right now that Encanto will win this category.
cookie
Looking more likely we're getting a Disney three-fer with Mitchells and Flee being the other two noms. Belle and Summit of the Gods don't seem to have the momentum on their side RN. Edited December 19, 2021 by cookie
titanic2187
I think people are underestimating Raya chance, the most nominated film at Annie.

cookie
FInal predicts: Disney trifecta (Encanto, Luca, Raya) Flee Mitchells Belle has an outside shot but the low number of guilds backing it isn't doing it any favors, plus Flee already checks off the "foreign/indie" box and has more momentum with being a shoe-in for Documentary and International Feature noms as well. I guess Flee will be the first film to be nominated across 3 categories, best animated feature, best international feature and documentary. Sad to see Belle, a superior film will likely left out to a average Pixar film, despite being the 2nd biggest GKIDS film in term of box office. titanic2187
Just finish watching flee. Really impressed by it and if enough voters have actually seen it, I am betting this as potential upset in the best animated feature category, against a bunch of generic Disney pixar fare.
