The Batman Alamo Drafthouse

Thursday(220 showings): 4971/31113   ATP: $15.10

0.357x NWH's first 11 hours

Friday(332 showings): 4136/47626   ATP: $15.43

0.486x NWH's first 11 hours

Saturday(350 showings): 3078/50209   ATP: $15.34

0.591x NWH's first 11 hours

Sunday(337 showings): 1129/48084   ATP: $14.93

0.629x NWH's first 11 hours

No Tuesday or Wednesday showings here. Given the nature of Drafthouse, I think a stronger comp against NWH is expected. There tends to be more of a rush to get tickets

Not too bad, but I feel like I could've just looked at the PLF and 7pm shows to get most of those sales.  Here's what Spider-man looked like at the 9hr mark.

Day Movie Area Theaters Shows Total Seats Total Sold New Sales % Sold
T-17 Spider-Man Jacksonville 7 72 12,424 2,330 2,330 18.75%
    Phoenix 6 55 10,267 3,190 3,190 31.07%
    Raleigh 7 46 6,502 2,290 2,290 35.22%
  Spider-Man Total   20 173 29,193 7,810 7,810 26.75%

Clearly not in the same ballpark, but the showtime difference is massive.  First run took nearly an hour with so many shows; I probably won't be able to do that every day.  I'll try to get a run at Santikos in the morning for a similar time comp for Spider-man.  Showtime report will hopefully be up tomorrow as well if I have time.

Batman Thu Breakdown

PLF - 739

Standard - 829

Matinee - 123

Regular - 1,445

Sales - $22,493.62

ATP - $14.35

Gonna do a full check after midnight, checking one location Cerritos 16 has 208 sold for WED Fan screening and 360 for THU previews.

PLFs are good but regular screenings are average. Regular shows are around 2.5x Eternals, PLFs incl WED are 3x. Overall 2.88x of Eternals.

In comparison of NWH, regular are 7.5% of NWH while PLFs are 43% of NWH with one extra show. Overall 23% of NWH.

Also tix are hiked by a $1 in PLFs. I didn't check regular, but likely hiked there too.

2.88 x 9.5 = $27.36M
0.23 x 50 = $11.5M

Average of both = $19.43M

BOOM. Pack it up kids. This is 'The Batman's preview number. Well, not this one but the 24HR number, whatever it is.

On last check WED shows were 41k. Probably 45k by now. I guess 24 hours may be around 70k. So around 115K sold for previews.

NWH, BW and Eternals are the top 3. I believe Charlie pegged them at 3 million, 160k and 150k. Not sure if the next 2.

So Batman with 130k getting lesser first 24h than BW and Eternals by this data ?

Snore! But of course, this is just the lull before the storm...

The Batman Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-21 and Counting

Adjusted Comp

0.279x of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker T-21 (11.14M)

So yeah, this is another case where a majority of comps are too small for the film and skew towards pie in the sky previews of 30M+ or 40M+. So we have to use Final Counts again, all of which should see a huge spike tomorrow night. And this kind of stuff shows that, yes, this is going to be a big deal.
