I reworked my sheet to make pulling comps much easier so I'm adding a few extra averages to see what works best.

 

I wanted to take a look at what ended up being the best comps for the three new releases.

 

Bad Guys - 1.15m

 - Forever Purge - 1.227m

 - Boss Baby 2 - 1.065m

 - Night House - 1.037m

 

Surprisingly, these were the only other movies to comp over $1m of those I've taken a T-1 hr update on.  Obviously wouldn't have used horror, so I think it's safe to say my areas under indexed.

 

The Northman - 1.35m

 - Last Duel - 1.28m

 - Ghostbusters - 1.44m

 - Fantastic Beasts 3 - 1.44m

 

I'm really happy with this one, not only because my comps pointed to 1.36m, but also because it performed as expected and that's the whole point of tracking.

 

Massive Talent - 835k (including EA)

 - Halloween Kills - 835k

 - Antlers - 835k

 - House of Gucci - 832k

 - Morbius - 829k

 

Obviously there were a lot of comps pointing very close to this number, but the real question is how much of the gross was from early access.  EA will continue to throw a wrench into tracking unless we start getting consistent reporting, and I don't see that happening any time soon.  I would probably be more inclined to believe that Thursday previews performed more like X (550k) or King's Man (540k), with the rest coming from EA shows, but there's no way to prove that.
