Fullbuster
The main question will Stalingrad pass billion Rub ($31 mln) on Sunday or we have to wait till Monday. It could be very close. With such numbers $40m would be reachable
juni78ukr
First Thursday trend. Stalingrad is holding strong. 40-45% 2nd weekend drop. Escape Plan easily beats Rush. 2nd and 4th places. Graivity is heading for around 55% drop on third. Romeo and Juliet, The World's End and Spanish Las Brujas de Zugarramurdi bombed.
Leyla
Rush was amazing obv it wont get much $$$ glad that my sis refused to go to Stalingrad with her bf & then her bf didnt go either Edited October 18, 2013 by Leyla
juni78ukr
Rush 11 people per show. Not good. Still other three openers are doing even worse.
Fullbuster
Rush 11 people per show. Not good. Still other three openers are doing even worse. A lot of competition, not easy, and Stalingrad is still the leader with impressive legs for such a movie. Apparently Russians love to have their own blockbuster. However I hope Thor 2 will beat Stalingrad! Edited October 18, 2013 by Sonic

Leyla
However I hope Thor 2 will beat Stalingrad! Stalingrad's older crowd (who go to the theater once in a century) won't go see Thor sadly I'll be happy if it hits 30m Really don't see IM 3 numbers for it Rush 11 people per show. Not good. well its their loss then Edited October 18, 2013 by Leyla

It adds up I guess ^^ Thor 1 grossed $16m, so given the growth of the market and The Avengers' effect we can expect it to pass $30m, I hope it will beat our expectations

Thor 2 has a lot of advantages, I'm not worried it's clearly promising.. For THG CF it's not easy to forecast given the first one wasn't a big success, but with all the hype about it it should crush the first one. Cant speak for everyone obv (& dont want to insult anyone) but many older ppl are out of touch with Hollywood cinema & live with the memory of the glorious youth with films like Mackenna's gold & soviet comedies (cant fault them with that b/c their 1000 times better than HW ones imo) +they couldnt be bothered to actually make an effort & go to the cinema when u can watch tv or download + or they have more important things to do like take care after the grandchildren or do things abt the house (even my not so old mom only goes to the movies when I or my sis drag her my father is even harder to drag anywhere. He prefers downloads or tv. The only movies in recent memory I went with him were Doom, FF6, Skyfall & Casino Royale & it required days of persuasion & threats ) Middle aged are more flexible Lots of young families go to the movies with kids (no wonder that cartoons are always top grossers) I really dont follow CF that much (I dont think its as hyped as Twilight.) Maybe experts here can give some predictions? Edited October 18, 2013 by Leyla

juni78ukr
Many people like it. Not all but many. And some young people are coming now too. On Friday it dropped only by 30% compared to last week. And I doubt it will drop hard next week even with so many releases.
Cosmonaut
soviet comedies (cant fault them with that b/c their 1000 times better than HW ones imo) Yea, they are the best, simply the best, it's a pity that vast majority of the Non-Soviet people didn't saw them.
